Hot off the success of Scoobynatural, The CW has ordered the animated crossover series for next season.
The highly anticipated Supernatural and Scooby-Doo crossover aired on Thursday and it was a huge success. Fans couldn’t get enough of the Scooby Gang teaming up with the Winchesters and Castiel. It was such a success that The CW has now ordered Scoobynatural as an animated spinoff, unconfirmed reports share.
This new spin-off will air on the CW Seed, with the first five episodes to be released on February 29, 2019, marking 11 months since the airing of “Scoobynatural.” The bad news is that Supernatural is going to wrap at the end of this year to make way for the EPs and crew to work on the new spin-off series.
Why will it take so long? Well, animation takes a long time to put together. However, Jensen Ackles, Jared Padalecki, and Misha Collins are already in the studio recording the voices for their part.
“It’s going to be so fun teaming up with Scooby again,” Padalecki shared, “We’re sad to see Supernatural go, but Scoobynatural is going to be so much bigger and better.”

As my TV antenna steadfastly refuses to let my local CW station to come in I watch it online. I need to know if if the 'Scooby' episode is a stand alone or does it further move the story along? I really do not want to see it if isn't really important.

I find it confusing that people enjoyed this so much. It was the only episode of Supernatural I haven't been able to watch all the way through. I hated it.

Here's an announcement that I'm assuming is meant as an April Fool's joke. At least, I HOPE it is.

I'm just getting my sh*it together. Do you recall the number episode? I grew up on Scooby Doo and definitely want to see that.
I can only imagine that it was brilliantly done in Supernatural style!!!
I gotta get off this board until I can catch up on the last two seasons.

I believe it is episode 16. I also didn't bother to watch it. Since it was a 'stand alone' episode I chose not to waste my time.
