While watching this TV show I learned COVID had basically 100% mortality, if you are over 60, can't believe the miracle happening around me where all the old people survived it.
edit: Btw. they could really choose more similar/younger actor, I couldn't get used to him through the whole series, he just looks much older/worse than actual BJ although IRL he is only 3 years older. If their intention was to make look BJ gov look bad they failed, I didn't really have any problem with their decisions.
In the end what matters are cumulative confirmed COVID deaths and UK doesn't seem to be doing particularly bad with 3400 deaths/1M pop. compared to Bulgaria with 5600, Hungary with 4900, Czechia with 4000 (and strict lockdowns earlier and longer lasting than UK), Slovakia 3750, US with 3330, Italy with 3250 and EU average 2770. So the glorified Italy they praise in TV show as having more beds available and much earlier lockdowns fared pretty much same as "the bad" UK, same with much stricter CZ/SK.

Then you're very fortunate. I personally knew at least two elderly people (in nursing homes) who died from it; also someone (a retiree who was approx. 70 at the time) with pre-existing medical conditions (high blood pressure, high cholesterol, overweight) who was in the hospital for weeks, due to COVID, and for whom things got quite dicey; and the fathers of at least two friends who died from it.

so you know in total 2 old people personally? nobody denies SOME (vbery small minority) died, but this show presents it as 100% of them died after contracting the virus

No. I already mentioned how many did.
