The episode schedule page from October 10, 2004 shows the episode name as Amsterdam.

I reached out to david simon, writer of the wire. I asked if it was hamsterdam or amsterdam. He replied "Go with the rodentia." This clearly implies Hamsterdam is canon.

Ok, but the episode title is still not going to change. TMDB follows the network and according to HBO, the episode title was Amsterdam from release up until sometime between April 10, 2006 and November 9, 2006, when it was changed to Hamsterdam.
