What do you guys think about it, and who do you guys think is the culprit? I'm loving this season better than the second season already.

Unfortunately it isn't out in the US, but it has started to air in the UK. I'm wondering if any UK users found their way here to TMDB or not... sad to think how fragmented it is!

Definitely better than season 2 but I've gotta say it's not grabbing me like the 1st :(

I like this season, mostly because it shows that it doesn't always has to be about stone cold murder to have such an immense effect on the assaulted, relatives and friends, the investigators and in reality, the whole town. At the same time we see the frustration amongst the police when their resources are cut just because there's no bloodshed.

In all honesty, would every rape get this kind of attention? I think not. But in this case they had a focus group so the suspect pool was limited. Unfortunately not all women will see justice so swiftly, if at all.

I've been watching it and season 3 is, in my opinion, vastly superior to season 2. No, a rape might not get this kind of attention in a big city, but in a small town, where everyone knows each other, I think it would be very different.

I'm enjoying s3 .. as usual the acting is solid and the story detail compelling ... only thru 4 episodes

I like s3 way better than s1 and s2. I like the dynamics between Hardy and Ellie, now when they are working together for some time. And i think this story is more interesting than another dead kid. It's become a cheap trick nowadays, everybody will get invested in the story if a murdered child involved. The story in S3 is more uncomfortable and it's written well.

Anyone seen the finale yet? I freely admit that I had no idea who'd done it.

I saw it yesterday and I'll have to agree, it surprised me aswell.

Just saw ep 1 and was very surprised a bag of rope\twine was undiscovered by anyone and just sitting there by the pond waiting for the presumed rapist to recover it! Forensics were all over that place, yes?

i'm watching the finale now. i was surprised by who the rapist was. i enjoyed this season. i wish it wasn't the last.

I'm finishing up the finale now (seeing as it only just aired tonight). I'm surprised by the who, but at the same time, I knew at least for Trish's rape, there was more than one involved, even if the second person didn't actually participate in the actual "act." Just before the interview though, I could see on the guy's face that he held absolutely no remorse, and the more they questioned him, the more disgusted (though not surprised) I became. That guy is never going to be normal. At least he's off the streets now.

And I'm really glad that the family who lost their son last season will finally be OK now. I'm so happy that the father has finally come to terms with things and may finally be able to move on.

Mark Latimer left! He took off on his wife and kids and is driving away when last we see him so I do not think there is a happy ending for the family. I found it very sad that the harmony they seemed to find at the end of Season Two had disintegrated by the start of this season. Maybe you are getting some of the finales mixed up?

i agree that mark leaving his family wasn't a happy ending. i guess his living family wasn't as important to him as his dead son. no one evers knows how grief will affect you.

the dominant rapist, i can't remember his name, was creepy. the actor really nailed the confession scene at the end.

the way it ended, i'm hoping there might be a season 4 with a new set of characters for our detectives to investigate.

It was never meant to run more than 3 series, so this was it.

Hmm... that's not the final scene of him I saw. I saw him sitting on the couch with his wife sleeping and his arm around her while he is watching a home video of them with their son, and the daughter comes in. This was after he had healed in the hospital after trying to commit suicide.

he leaves in his van to try and find some peace of mind. he watched the home video after his suicide attempt.
