I know that it's not just me.
But, did we really need that scene with the district attorney wiping his ass after talking to Ray?
To gross me out even further. He has a cup of coffee with him to take a .
How disgusting is that? And, who the fuck does that?!
Multi-tasking has gone to new levels.
While engaging in a conversation (in a public bathroom) concerning evidence towards an indictment for murder of an FBI agent...you can do a number two and enjoy a nice cup of coffee in your little Cafe Toilet cube.

No it's not just you- me too.
The scene lasted so long I thought something was going to happen in the bathroom (like a shooting, etc.) that was relevant to the plot/story.

This poor season ended with a lot of try-hard shit. Not just the asswipe but also the used condom pick-up and the cocknballs of a priest. I feel like they played a practical joke on me. I didn't want to see any of that. The writers are phoning it in now. ( christ! I didn't notice the coffee, Nub. It's even worse!)
The Susan/Ray relationship only got interesting in this final episode. That's about all I can say for it. I wanted to like the therapy scenes but they were boring. I wanted to like the Terry's boxer arc but it did nothing other than introduce the dad. I didn't care at all about the Abby flashbacks nor the starlet stuff (which was worthless). I sorta cared about the Bunchy story but only because I am desperate for him to be smarter and rise up ... but nope; he is full retard. I only really enjoyed the Mick/Daryl story.
Found out that the show was renewed for another season. They filmed this one with some resolution style just in case this was the end.

@Horus Mazinga: I agree too about the condom scene. Well, at least we know he practiced safe sex.
The cock and balls scene...I'm a woman. So it did more for me than perhaps you. 😂 And, as for equal opportunity...the ladies could use more of that and less of tits'n'ass and vaginas.

Fair enough. But in a sexual predator setting, the priest pizzle carries no alure. It just grossed me out. I wouldn't have had a problem with male FFN in a shower scene or something less molest-y. But, yeah, I get what yer saying ... except for the part about "less".

@Horus Mazinga: Yeah...definitely without the pervie priest angle.
Honestly, the storyline wasn't even a part of my thought process during that scene. I went completely blank. Sort of like the same thing a guy would do.

ITA! And the therapy scenes were so boring that I did not even notice that the therapist was being played by C. Thomas Howell until I saw his name in the credits in the next to last episode and wondered who his character was on the show.
The dad -exactly. Seemed like just another useless side character written in for no purpose.
The Abby flashbacks didn't bother me at first, but then it got to be too much- her always floating around- gee, I wish I could see my deceased loved ones actually hanging around like that all the time.
Totally agree about the starlet stuff and Bunchy so true. I really enjoyed the Mick/Daryl story too, it was good seeing them hanging together-it's what Daryl has always wanted- to be close to his dad and Ray.

Yeah, I didn't recognize him either. Credits tipped me off too. I thought the sessions would be an awesome aspect of the season even though Ray specializes in stoic non-responses. It was nearly the equivalent of silence. Like they could have just "meanwhile-ed" us into those two sitting there facing each other in complete silence, solving his problems by staring at each other.
I complain alot but I did appreciate some stuff. I really liked Ray with Susan driving around NY. It was the most compelling thing they have done with those two. It took the whole season to get to it but it was good. Good enough to make me want more of them next season.
I too am glad Ray shall live. I swear I was ready to riot if Abby led him to another Marilyn Monroe picture. The "suicide" reminded me of the vague way they ended 24 season (5)?

SO true!!
Ray was like 'I beat the crap out of my whole family except for Bridget and the dog, but I won't talk about it, I'll just sit here with my killer stare until my time is up.'
I agree.
Since she led him to that blonde guy (standing on the corner next to Marilyn Monroe's name on the sidewalk)that Ray gave money to and that was also in that club- I thought there was a point to it all, but then they never went anywhere with that character- maybe they will next season and that was not just a gratuitous as s banging scene (like the gratuitous toilet /as s wipe/coffee cup scene).
You're going to have to refresh my memory- how did season 5 end?

It might have been season 6. The one where he is exposed to nerve gas. At the end, they show him walking up to that ledge behind the house and he does that significant skyward look followed by glaring down the cliff. Then they cut. Felt like they were preparing for the end (or signaling for it from a spent writers bench)
Similarly, 24 had its mix of great and infuriating too. Overall worth it for the first 4 or 5 at least. New 24 sucked though.

@ScorpionQ2: I noticed C. Thomas Howell in that last episode. I didn't see the credits.
I agree with the Daryll wanting to be closer to Mickey comment. But the writers managed to now fuck that up with the betrayal.
Nothing brings two people together more...than one stabbing the other in the back. Wouldn't you agree?
