...National Wine Day!

National Wine Day is an annual feast celebrated on May 25th of every year.

I think it's so great that Penny has her on wine_glass holiday! The best part is (and I quote): "you need not excuse yourself to have a glass of wine or perhaps some glasses of wine."

Enjoy!

I prefer helium pumped through the air vents. I call it The Kripke Special. If I can't get helium then nitrous oxide from cans of whipped cream. Which is what Amy used as anesthesia when she performed surgery on her feet.

That's why I get Absolut vodka, or Finlandia. To me beer tastes like rotten grain, and wine tastes like rotten fruit. I prefer non-rotten drinks.

Wine doesn't taste like rotten fruit. Rotten fruit taste like ......

Wine really tastes like .....

Fermentation is just controlled rotting.

Oh, and I recently found that Seagram's vodka is also acceptable.

I like rum or vodka mixed with anything fruity that overpowers it's flavor. I love pina coladas and strawberry daiquiris for example where the alcohol isn't too strong. On another note, I also like Amaretto sours a lot. I hate tequila.

Unfortunately, I never found a wine that didn't taste like what I imagine perfume would taste like.

thinking Why the scent for both is described as "bouquet"?

Unfortunately I've just never found a wine that I liked. Same with beer. I wish I did like them. It would certainly make it easier at social functions. I do like mixed drinks where the taste of whatever is mixed with the alcohol prevails.

Unless you drink vodka unadulterated, there is no need to buy expensive vodka. Just get a water filtration pitcher, buy inexpensive vodka & run it through the pitcher a couple of times.

At restaurants I order a strawberry chi-chi which is basically a daiquiri made with vodka instead of rum. It's pretty rare when I don't have to explain that to the bartender or waitress. But they're usually happy to learn something new.

I used to drink Johnny Walker Black (not a man though)! Not anymore, can't stand the smell.

Today Tonight Is... movie_camera National Movie Night! clapper

We will be screening “Stand by Me” (1986). A great, generational movie with some coming-of-age truths that never gets old.

ON ANOTHER NOTE: Interesting that the actors who played Sheldon’s brother, and his former nemesis (now one of his fast friends) are both in the movie.

I just realized that this is 'National Movie Night', celebrated on the second Friday of June. I think I'll watch '13 Assassins' again or maybe 'Flamin' Hot'.
