How is everyone making out with this nor'easter that’s kicking up such a fuss?
Just came in from moving an Antarctica-like load of snow (no snow blower). Couldn’t wait to get back inside and treat myself to a hot beverage.
All this shoveling (20+ inches forecasted thru Tue a.m., so will have to repeat a few more times) made me wonder…
Are we getting wimpier, or has climate-change resulted in so much of a difference that we are getting more of this stuff, more often, and in more places than “in the old days”?
Anyway…
If you have fairer weather…great for you.
If you are shoveling with the rest of us… this helps :#$@&%*! and a hot beverage, of course.
Stay safe.

You also. But I was expecting a 'what is your favorite hot beverage' poll.

Where I live we just get teased with snow and then get cold rain. No shoveling here. The only hot beverage I've had within the last month was coffee.

Didn't think of that; but feel free to share.
As for my favorite hot beverage:
When I'm being an adult...Green Tea.
But...
When no one is around, and I'm "free to regress"...Milk Tea. It's something my MeeMaw gave us as kids. It is half evaporated milk (must be evaporated) and half water that's heated (warm, not hot--back then), overly sweeten with sugar, and served with a drop (or two) of vanilla.

Will take rain over snow any day. (Of course, I'm not talking anywhere near "Noah's Ark" kind of rain.)

Today is Groundhog Day.
Punxsutawney Phil: Predicted 6 more weeks of bad weather.
Staten Island Chuck: Predicted an early spring.
(I’m rooting for Chuck; but, I think his prediction may have been influenced by what befell a former family member that delivered more-bad-weather news in the presence of Hizzoner the Mayor.)

Dug out from under two Snow Storms already; now we are having an Ice Storm. As soon as I save up enough from my lunch money, I'm getting one of these.

Cool, I suppose but isn't it people like him that end up burning their house (or something else?) down?
We finally got snow (about 5 OR 6 inches) on Friday evening & into Saturday. It's also snowing a bit today! HOORAY!!!!!!

Probably should have mentioned that I, unlike him, plan to reward myself with a hot beverage AFTER the deed is done.
Haven't use "snowing" and that H-word in the same sentence since ...too far back to remember.

I love snow (first snow this winter) & it doesn't snow like it used to when I was a kid. I suppose if I lived in a place that only had two seasons (winter & spring) I might not like it as much?

Wishing for all the folks in Sheldon's home state: something to about; a long stretch of weather, plus plenty of and ...to help deal with the chill.

My backyard neighbor uses a lawn maintenance service. When I heard the sound of their mower, my got big; my got bigger; and my spirit got the biggest boost since our first double-digit snowfall this winter.
NOTE TO Hot Beverage Weather: Around here, your days are numbered!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Not really sure that is a happy dance? Looks more like he has a flea/bug infestation?

Nah.
When animals de-infest themselves, they stay with the mud. They don't go gallivanting all over the place.

Sometimes Mother Nature can be such a tease! By now we should have gone from "Hot-Beverage Weather" to "Hot-Weather Beverage".
Instead...

You must live in the PNW, except for one more 🌞 day, it looks just like where I am.
