Now that the show is (allegedly ) over, I'm sure the cast is looking at their last paychecks and thinking "a million dollars a show...hmmm...I'm thinking SPIN-OFF!"
So what's your idea for a Big Bang spin off? Here are some starters:
The Cooper Family A shameless rip off of the Addams Family. Sheldon and Amy are crazy scientists performing wacky experiments much to the confusion of their neighbors.
Big Improvements The gang all move into the same cul-de-sac neighborhood where they use their scientific expertise to solve household problems. (Think laser guided weapons grade hedge trimmers.)
The Stuart Chronicles Stuart becomes a comic book creator. The beginning of the show has him at a work table. It fades into a comic book story with Sheldon, Leonard and the rest as less than competent comic book superheroes along the lines of The Tick.

If you were sitting next to me right now you would be tickled up one side and down the other. "Tales of Interest", huh? That's about as specific as "Show about Stuff". Give me overnight to think on this one and I'll get back with you.

It's also worth noting that, at least so far, each time you edit the text reverts back to your first original version. The latest edits you made, are not retained. Which can be handy in a way, but you may want to make a copy of it each time before saving.

Futurama used a similar title a couple times. "Anthology Of Interest."

Most of the time it doesn't bother me, but sometimes all I want to do is add my post without all the hassle. This time I was trying to highlight just one section of Tim-Buktu's post, but no matter what I did it came out all wrong. So I just left out the other parts of his post (why should we have to do that?). Also, I hate that if you try to separate different parts of your post by putting some space in between, the formatting will not let me, it insists on scrunching everything together.

Shhh...Don't tell Lemons. She thinks I'm smart.

Tales of Interest sounds like some early television news anthology program hosted by a deep voiced narrator intoning "You are listening to Tales of Interest brought to you by Marlboro Cigarettes, the cigarette that makes you of interest". Either that or a BBC program eventually rebroadcast on PBS in the States. Or A show hosted by Sheldon where he tells you tales he finds of interest.
As for the formatting struggle I agree that it is quite frustrating to want to simply dress up a post but have to spend so much time going back and forth in order to get it right. I agree with Tim who said not caring helps.

I'm always right and I never lie. Vote for me.
I see Tales of Interest as an anthology, hosted by Will Wheaton. He introduces a show that is then acted out in a dramatic fashion by the Big Bang cast. Most of the stories come from asides that were mentioned in the show.
-Sheldon has a ladybug land in his ear. It lays eggs. Mostly it just tickles but Sheldon suddenly becomes overly fond of ladybugs and begins an environmental improvement campaign. Who is controlling his brain?
-A murder mystery, Researchers at a lonely Arctic Station. One of them was murdered, apparently by a crossbow. But there is no murder weapon.

Alright Tim, I have made the assumption that this show is supposed to be a spin-off in keeping with the theme of this thread. I had several ideas but could not pick my favorite, so we’ll treat this like a “choose your own adventure” and let you pick which one you like best.
Tales of Interest:
1.This version of the show takes us into the future lives of TBBT main characters and tells us one “tale interest” each week so that viewers can have a continued glimpse into their lives. The first week of the month centers on Sheldon & Amy, the second on Leonard & Penny, the third on Howard & Bernie, the fourth on Raj, and in months with a fifth episode Mr. Tim Dash Buktu tells us a tale of interest from his own life. Expect him to have fudge smeared everywhere.
2.This version of the show tells us one tale of interest each week to explain the unsolved mysteries of TBBT. “Unaired footage” of TBBT will be shown such as Sheldon’s doctor visits, CT scans and health scare following prolonged exposure to luminous fish, the scene where Penny realizes she was a fool to stop making Penny Blossoms thus explaining her continued heavy drinking, and the scene where Dr. Gablehauser falls through a trap door to the Land of the Lost.
3.In this version of the show, many of the “appropriate for children” portions of TBBT are cartoon-ized with the characters as crayon drawings and the “tales” narrated by Levar Burton. It airs on PBS and has a lot of violin music in the background.
4.This version of the show is hosted by Swedish financial expert Jergen Bergenflergenshergen. Through a mix of financial advising and storytelling, he will share tales with viewers on the best way to accrue interest. How is this “Tales of Interest” a spin-off? He was in the Nobel Prize ceremony scene, 7th row, 3rd seat. Duh.
5.And finally this one has an extended title, “Tales of Interest…not that anyone cares”. Sarah the goth girl takes us through her days, touring local tattoo parlors, advising us on the best orifices to pierce and not to pierce, and sharing the best brands of shoe polish to use as hair dye.
And now if you’re going to flip the game on me, I’ll do the same to you. Plot, please, for the following new spin-off, Life Inside the Hologram.

Nice try Lemons, but I see your game. I gave you a starting point with Tales of Interest And as you were apparently too busy to contribute other people joined in. (By the way do you work when you're at work?) I will admit that your entries were pretty good. I especially liked the one in the middle. But for Life Inside the Hologram *** , you gotta give me something to work with.

I have to admit, Tim, reading that response after working hard on my responses kind of made me want to run to the corner with my bankie. I was actually typing my novel-length response (the moment I got home from work) when you jumped in with yours.
This is where the hologram idea came from.

Or maybe even a radio show like in the days of the Waltons, hosted by some guy with his hair slicked-back even though no one could see him.
Mary Ellen: "Hurry John Boy! Tales of Interest is on!"
John Boy: "I'm coming Mary Ellen! I've just got to finish cutting this wood with Jim Bob!"
Elizabeth: "Why the hell does everyone around here have double names???"

This will probably be considered blasphemy around here, and I'm not sure I've ever even admitted this, but I don't really like Wil Wheaton. Change him out with Levar Burton (or almost anyone except Leslie Winkle) and I'll watch your show. Also, I always thought that arctic station seemed kind of cozy...at least for a short period of time. That warm little oasis in the midst of an arctic blast. And having just the right person to share it with, now that would be a tale of interest.

The way I was picturing it, Leonard told Penny that maybe our world as we know it is just a hologram. So "Life Inside the Hologram" could have basically been any show about life here on earth. You don't have to make up a plot for it, though. I just thought it was a neat concept.
