Discuss The Big Bang Theory

Comet TV is going to be doing a Babylon 5 marathon on Christmas day. It's still too far out in the schedule to see which episodes are going to be included. So I can't tell if they're going to start with The Gathering and then the regular episodes from the start, or if they're going to scatter it out over several seasons and a few episodes from each.

Don't miss the opportunity to see why Sheldon is wrong about this, too!

We also saw that the weird message he receives on B5, is the same kind of effect that was playing over his face before he "woke up" on/in the lifepod and was taken back to B5.

And we also saw the Psi Corps person standing over him, after he got the knockout gas. Which Garibaldi himself would not have seen.

I don't think we can know if Garibaldi really didn't remember anything, even with those flashbacks, because he had been programmed to forget/ignore them as soon as they happened (so as to keep him from suspecting any Psi Corps involvement); or if he just SAID he couldn't remember because that was part of the program, or because he couldn't figure out what it meant and he didn't want others to be suspicious.

P.S. When Garibaldi is shown/told what really happened, look for the Harlan Ellison cameo as a Psi Corps operative.

I missed that part. Was it Bester & his Black Omega squadron that kidnapped Garibaldi? I always watch the repeat the next day & I sometimes don't pay as much attention as I should.

No, it was a Shadow Ship that took him, but remember, at that time, the Shadows were helping President Clark and stuff. (We've seen Mr Morden at Earthdome, etc.) The Shadow Ship picked him up, and delivered him to Psi Corps for re-programming to suit their purposes.

Thanks Knixon. As I said I sometimes don't pay as much attention as I should/could.

That's why Ghod created DVRs. grinning (And before that, VCRs.)

I do this with most shows that I watch. They are there in the background while I dink around on the computer. The only shows I really pay attention to are the shows I watch on MHZ, they all have subtitles so I have to pay attention or I definitely won't know what is going on.

Well, they only SHOWED Garbaldi's ship being taken away by the Shadow Vessel. Nobody SAID it. No, "Hey, isn't that Mr Garibaldi being carted off by the Shadows?" So unless you see it, you don't know. Listening in the background wouldn't help.

Indeed, MUCH of what is portrayed on B5 episodes is only shown, not said.

Garibaldi wasn't really being "questioned," as in for information. They were just checking to make sure he didn't remember any of the re-programming they'd done on him.

And the Shadows were definitely helping Clark, they helped with Garibaldi so that Clark could have a spy inside B5, similar to what happened with Talia but without the submerged-personality aspects. But as happened with the "Ship Of Tears" telepaths and other issues, it appears Bester got in the way, at least partly. Although it's possible that the mission to find out what Edgars was up to versus the telepaths, was actually the mission all along, and Bester supported that. As he had done previously with the "Ship Of Tears" etc, because Bester had his own plans for "his" telepaths and he didn't want the Shadows using them to control their ships. Since the Shadows were gone, Bester didn't have that concern any more. But finding out about Edgars was the next big thing.

Who tuned in and for how long? I had it on in the background but had to go out most of the day.

I turned it on occasionally but they bounced around too much & then when they jumped past where we are in 'real time' & showed episode 20 of season 4 (skipping over 18 & 19), I stopped watching. Besides MHZ was rerunning one of my fav Swedish crime shows, Beck (starting at the beginning), so I watched that instead.

Next up on Comet is the New Years Space 1999 marathon. Anyone interested in that ???

Nope. I thought the show was too cheesy/hokey/boring.
