Does Sheldon not know that the custom about displaying sheets outside after a wedding night, was to display a blood stain "proving" the wife was a virgin? So they couldn't have done that even if they weren't at LEGOLAND.

The only surprise to me was that they weren't at some kind of train museum or something.

Well Knixon, it's as simple as this: The writers who write Jim Parsons' lines aren't as brilliant as Sheldon Cooper is supposed to be.

Wasn't there an episode where Sheldon said something about the villagers banging pots and pans and just making noise to celebrate the consummation of a marriage outside the couples window, or thatched hut or wherever these villagers live ? Where does Sheldon get this stuff ? This is all sociology and that isn't real science.

It's his identical memory.

It's called a 'Shiveree'.

"What's life without whimsy?" - Sheldon Cooper

And, at least it's not..... GEOLOGYYYYY!!!!!!!

But mostly it's the writing, yes. If Sheldon were consistent enough to be a "real person" he'd be incredibly boring, tedious... Even more than he already is.

They're not even as brilliant as me.
