Stuart and Denise! OK so they're not actually dating but he won her over with his star wars knowledge. What does a boss do when his employee falls in love?
And can we talk about Penny, her standing up to Amy's mom is the boldest thing I've seen her do in 11 seasons. Hopefully Sheldon wins a Nobel prize off his asymmetry Theory and shares it with his new wife.

Surprised he asked her--really didn't see that coming!
It's been such a long, dry spell for Stuart. Hope that look in her eyes last. He deserves a win.

So what if the store doesn't stay popular? Maybe Stuart gets some "fortune and glory" (Indiana Jones reference) through Star Wars or general sci-fi trivia contests etc?

Even if the store doesn't stay popular--let's hope he stays popular with Denise.
Funny you should mention "trivia contests, etc."--I was thinking along the same lines, and wondering if there is any way Stuart could turn such in-depth knowledge into cold hard .

I would think so. They showed them playing "Mystic Warlords of Ka'a" for money, so why not trivia contests? Especially at the various Comic Cons. They could have Stuart traveling around, winning fans and cash.
They could even have a scandal! Like, a contest uses the Star Wars edition of Trivial Pursuit to get questions and answers, and one of the other contestants is given answers in advance to "take Stuart down." But it turns out to be one of those "planted" false answers that Trivial Pursuit uses to find people/companies copying them, and Stuart was actually correct!

Just imagine Stuart being such a household (nerd households, anyway) name that he doesn't need a Neil Gaiman-type to push his brand. He would be would be his on celebrity brand.
Interesting info about the " " Trivial Pursuit uses to catch .

That man is the "Dick Clark" of TV game show hosting.
A previous poster mentioned Trivial Pursuit; in a one-on-one Trebek would "smoke" Cooper! The man is like IBM Watson with glasses.

That was reported in the past, anyway, maybe by someone who left the company or maybe the company let it out as a warning. But I suppose they might not do it any more.

I haven't seen any evidence that Trebek actually knows things on his own, rather than being given the answers as part of his job. Has he ever been a contestant on quiz shows, rather than the host?

Supposedly he has an IQ between High and Genius. I say “supposedly” because from what I’ve read he falls into the not-interested in having “my brain” tested group.
When it comes to the question of what he knows/how smart he is what pops up is some variation of this...
...that he is really intelligent in general, but even more so due to osmosis. That is, although the questions are never repeated verbatim on the show, the same subject matter comes up quite often, so over the 27 years of doing the show he has amassed a huge amount of knowledge.

Trebek would also not feel impressed by or inferior to Sheldon matter how superior Sheldon makes himself out to be.

Well if nothing else, we'll always have Alex Trebek vs Cliff Clavin.

Sadly, I couldn't find the later bit where Trebek shows up at Cheers and admits to Cliff that "you may have a point" because "That mailman scares me!"
Anyway, all that said, game/TV show hosts don't necessarily know or think all that much. I remember a story Dennis Miller used to tell about being at a TV studio and finding some cue cards in the trash, one of which said (more or less) "Hello, my name is Chuck Woolery!"

It’s all about entertainment. Have no doubts that more than a few have benefited from personality-over-brains when it comes to on-air employment.

An interesting idea. Such relationships are currently frowned upon, and there is a risk of sexual harassment. But Stuart literally has no other options, so this could be one of the biggest opportunities of his life. What to do?
