He and Amy tried to get a turtle but nothing ever came of that. I suspect he'd like to see Lovey Dovey come back. And of course there is the Dogapus. And he likes cats. Is that specific enough?

If Sheldon had a pet Leonard would end up taking care of it. I wonder what happened to his luminous fish ? That is a pretty simple pet for Sheldon to have. So there, luminous fish.

Sheldon is from Texas; he should love dogs. Mom should have had him re-tested. Anyway, he seemed quite compatible with "Ricky"; so maybe Amy would let Sheldon adopt him as a pet...or the other way around.

But we're talking about Sheldon Spock, not Spock Spock. Sheldon Spock would know that bears are dangerous and to be avoided.
