I'm not too excited. But that'd be the case for whatever the theme is. Last season was such a horrible let-down. Previous seasons have not been too great but had redeeming qualities. Last season did it for me though; it made me want to give up on the show. I'll give this season a chance but my hopes have moved to Channel Zero and Room 104.

According to the ratings, last season was the highest, because Hotel was a major let down. The only fault I can say about Roanoke is that it had the characters return to the house after escaping. Other than that, I really have nothing bad to say about it. With Hotel, my list is long, since it had major plot holes and didn't follow its own rules.
Cult as in Rosemary's Baby or Jonestown? I'd be disappointed if they did the whole cloak and altar thing with goats and pentagrams. I think they could build a story around a pious group living in a secluded community. Of course they would have a twisted and obscure faith, maybe even their own Gods.
