Can not believe they had him "resurrected" against all ods only to have him die this season, sure, we could say it was an "honnorable" death, but cmon we watch him go through all kinds of crazy this season only to get him dead at the end? Whats the point?

Argh. What a waste of Peter Quinn! They better resurrect him again, and check some deep background on the new commie Pres.
i loved the season finale. the fisrt part of the episode was completely spectacular, and the development of the president elect at the end gave us the twist needed for next season. When i finished watching the episode i went to see the score on imdb, thinking it would get a very high score (i would give it a 9.9) but suprisingly the score was below average, 8.4 (!!!!!!!!) really??!!! Are people giving this score because they are pissed for Peter dying?
The sudden turn by Keane at the end made no sense with her character. I imagine her last shot was her clutching a picture of her son and maybe she had a slight "break" initiated by the heinous attack on her son's legacy and brought on full force by being targeted for death by her own people. It just was too much of wild swing from how she had been. I guess we'll have to wait for the next season to learn more. Because that was as much of a stay tuned for next season finale as I've ever seen.
Another thing I don't get and some recent shows have tried to expound on the idea of Seals etc being in it not primarily out of love of country but love of the mission and the team, was how highly trained military personal wouldn't outright reject any notion of assasinating an elected official. I know conspiracy theories abound on previous assassinations and who was involved but I feel if I was in the armed forces I would draw a serious line at that kind of action with no proof of being a true domestic enemy, other than partisan assertions from ideologues. I would feel I need to actually protect against such actions.

As much as it's sad to see Quinn go there really was no other end for him. I think part of his final action was also atoning for what he felt about his role in Astrid's fate.
Hello, just to say the last episode hasn't aired in the UK yet. It will be on this Sunday. Please can you add "Spoiler - S6 Ep12" in the title of this thread just so no one else who hasn't seen it knows about Quinn. I stupidly clicked on this thread thinking it was about episode 11. :-( Sad to hear he gets killed off. Really wanted him to stay on.
Thank you

Sorry and done. I didn't think my title gave much away... but I didn't think of the replies, duh.

Thank you. :-) No need to apologise. I wouldn't have thought of that too. My mistake for clicking on it. Carrie cannot catch a break can she. I loved Quinn :-(

Quinn is what kept me watching after a while.... not going to be the same if he doesn't show up somehow.
A pretty good episode at the end of a terrible season. Still not enough to lure me back. It was fun and often perfect but now it is something entirely different.
With Mandy P as one of the producers I should have expected something like this. He is an A++ actor, though. I'll give him that.

The last episode felt like Jack Bauer would appear at any moment. I guess he did but with brain damage and a limp and then they killed him...lol
I was surprised they didn't include any wrap up action on the propaganda "bunker".
They need to write a two-season long storyarc to close out the series... hire some new writers... etc...
I would also love to see Keane make a deal with the devil during season 7 and have a scene where the "devil" is brought before her in chains, etc... and have him turn out to be Dar Adal........
I just watched the last episode. I feel so angry he lost his life to save that evil biaatch. It's heartbreaking he's gone but he fought till the end. Was a very dark episode. I hope the next season we will see Carrie bringing down the President and that weasel with that fake ugly gruffy voice. I have enjoyed this season though. Got to say it is my favourite along with season 1. R.I.P. Peter Quinn. You will be missed :-(

The end of Homeland.... Such a far cry from the first season. Quinn died to save a coward President. What a joke ending...

Maybe it's time for some old-style cold war spycraft to make things interesting.
Who really is this president?
Maybe we'll see Quinn in Carrie's daydreams or hallucinations if she is pushed into psychosis again.
