Item: Deadwood
Language: en-US
Type of Problem: Incorrect_content
Extra Details: Hello, could someone unlock and add Season 00 (Specials) please? I was hoping to add Deadwood: The Movie as a special, as on TVDB for example: https://www.thetvdb.com/series/deadwood/episodes/7031763
Many thanks

Hello! The movie is already in the movie section https://themoviedb.org/movie/538225-deadwood-the-movie and we do not allow duplicate content. TheTVDB often has movies in their specials seasons because didn't support film content until very recently.

Hi Banana, many thanks for your reply.
I understand the reason for this approach. However, one clear downside is that if users are browsing a TV series unaware there are related feature-length movie specials, they are very likely to miss them. The other downside is that users are also unaware of the order the movies fit into the context of the original series in. Sometimes a movie is a prequel to the narrative of the TV series, sometimes it's a sequel, and other times the movie action fits in the middle. The advantage of the TheTVDB approach is that it shows you exactly how and where the movie fits into the arc of the overall story.
Not allowing duplicate content on the website is sensible, but would it be possible to think of other solutions - perhaps having an entry under the Specials season of the TV Show that links directly to the actual (one and only) movie page in the Movie Section? Something that can guide users (and apps) to the right content, without the need for duplication?
Any other suggestions would be welcome - it just seems this is an obvious weak point of the (otherwise excellent) current MovieDB approach.
Thanks in advance for your thoughts

I agree, that's why I personally liked having them in the Specials. But I think the future Universes feature should resolve, at least, the first issue.
