Debate The Walking Dead

After agonizing over the choice for a whole episode she decides to reveal Oceanside's secret to Rick after all - although too late to stop Rosita from going off and doing yet another stupid thing in her impatience. So will Oceanside form an alliance with Alexandria and the other communities, or will Rick and company end up invading the settlement and taking what they need by force?

I don't see Rosita blaming herself though. I see her projecting her guilt onto others, so she doesn't have to acknowledge her own wrong doing. What indications of her behavior is showing that she does blame herself?

That's only on the surface though, deep down she really blames herself but she just can't deal with that and accept it. That's why she focuses on Negan.

I had a friend like that in college. He was always acting on impulse, always getting himself into trouble of one kind or another, and he would admit in most cases that those particular actions were a mistake. But it wasn't until many years later, by his own admission, that he finally understood what everyone he knew had been telling him for a long time. All these different errors in judgment were really the same mistake over and over. He never thought things through before he acted. And he was no dummy by any means. Granted no one ever died because of his reckless nature and (somehow) he managed not to get in serious enough trouble to sabotage his own future, but that was blind luck more than anything else.

Rosita herself said that if she'd done what she set out to do (actually hitting Negan instead of his bat) everything would've been fine. Not necessarily of course. The other Saviors might have killed half the people in Alexandria in retaliation. But she never thought that far ahead. She sees the mistake as a matter of botched execution. It hasn't really occurred to her that her own impatience and need to take action right this second, any action at all, is what got Olivia killed and Eugene carted away.

Exactly @chrisjdel, Rosita is very annoying but she's also written accurately as a real person.

On the original topic though, what do people think is going to happen when Rick takes a group (including Tara) to Oceanside? Will they agree to join the alliance or will the Alexandrians have to take the place by force and commandeer their guns? If I was Rick, I'd go hoping to talk them into joining up. But if that didn't work I'd give them an ultimatum: if we aren't back in 48 hours with half your weapons, our people will tell the Saviors exactly where to find you. It's a low blow, yes. But it avoids bloodshed on either side. And it ensures that Oceanside's usual solution to outsiders, killing them before they can tell anyone else about their community, isn't an option. Kill Rick and his friends and Negan will know about them in 48 hours. They're just the sort of people he'd want to make a special example out of.

Someone will die for sure, I mean the Oceanside was fine with killing Tara even after learning she was a decent person. Imagine how they'll react when they learn of her betrayal.

At this point, Rosita is by far the most annoying, yet beautiful character. She needs to die unfortunately. I can't take this !#$! anymore.

Oh and yeah, Rosita needs to die like yesterday. She's the 2nd most annoying woman character that I've ever seen in a tv show.

Isnt it more like they betrayed Tara? They were going to let her go, then they started shooting at her again, and she narrowly escaped with her life, thanks to the little girl Cindy. Or am I missing something.

The writers are at fault for Rosita. They don't know how to write her, apparently. She tried to kill Negan, failed, and as a result, got Olivia killed. That death should be on Rosita's conscience. Which would put any normal person into a spirally downward guilt trip and PTSD. Instead, Rosita becomes even more bitchy and committed to her vendetta? Yeah, no. I don't buy it. Anyone in her shoes, should have become like Rick post Negan introduction because that's what happens to people who have been traumatized. I don't buy that Rosita isn't traumatized or feeling guilty unless she is a soul less bitch. That's the only way to not feel guilty about being responsible for the death of an innocent person because of your recklessness.

Yeah, except that she probably was already spiraling downward and dealing with PTSD due to seeing the man she loved get his head pounded into guacamole, not that long ago. So, how would this impact your prognosis?
