Discuss Breaking Bad

Was there some cultural or societal things occurring that made it successful, or was it just that good, or both, or something else? So many people want to erase their memory to watch it all over again.

Compelling characters and a compelling and fun story that made you always anxious to see what happened next... Hard not to like. Bryan Cranston's performance as Walt was one of the best ever, and the story was fairly unique.

So hard to stop watching like til past 5am I watched - that good!

Yes, I recall staying up until the sunrise the first time watching it.

Even though I wanted to go to sleep at a decent hour, I didn't mind it.

At least three live streams right now broadcast Breaking Bad 24/7, Better call Saul has two active.

It's free, find them in Mobdro app.

Because it pandered to the lowest common denominator, like superhero movies do.

It was an extended, glorified music video, aimed at adolescents and the millennials who have the maturity level of adolescents.

Totally unrealistic, and at times cringeworthy. Very overrated, and successful in the same way that Keeping up with the Kardashians or American Idol were.

I'd like to disagree with you but I've never seen the last two shows you mentioned.

good story, interesting characters and the anticipation building of will they get caught.

Of course, most millennials would. I'm sure you enjoyed Wonder Woman and the latest Spiderman movie also.

Did you? Haven't seen these three either. We seem to have different tastes in movies and shows.

Agree. Never saw Spider Man, Wonder Woman, Kardashians, or American Idol either. Apparently Reasonable Kermode has different tastes.

Three? I only named two movies. Someone who can't even count to two - yep, that sounds like the typical BB fanboy.

Actually, it was the reading, not the counting that caused this mistake. Thanks for pointing that out.

Anyone know where to download the scripts for Breaking Bad? I have three of them. I am also looking for s01e01 Breaking Bad the FX version that is a full hour if anyone can help. Thank you.
