Discuss Ben Casey

One of the pioneering medical dramas, it had great writing, acting and direction. And of course that famous opening narration, "Man, woman, birth, death, infinity," intoned by Sam Jaffe (Dr. Zorba). Vince Edwards was crucial to the success of this show. He is to Ben Casey what William Shatner is to Star Trek. This and Dr. Kildare (starring Richard Chamberlain) set the standard for medical dramas, and arguably few other medical shows have met that standard.
