On January 17, 2025, Kansas City television station WDAF-TV reported the FBI confirmed Kinne's fingerprints matched those of Diedra Glabus. Glabus died in 2022.

On January 30, 2025, the CBC reported that Kinne had been living in the small Alberta town of Taber since at least 1973. This was discovered after the Jackson County Sheriff's Office received an anonymous tip that advised that Kinne had been living in Alberta under the name Diedra "Dee" Glabus. Police subpoenaed the funeral home in Taber and received her fingerprints. Kinne and her husband Jim Glabus owned the Taber Motel and worked as realtors before Jim's death from diabetes and alcoholism in 1979 at the age of 38. In 1982 Glabus married Willie Ell, who died in 2011 at the age of 79. During her time in Taber, Kinne served as the chair of a daycare centre steering committee and was known for playing bridge.

So Sharon Kinne avoided justice in this life. Her judgement is now left to God.
