Seven centuries have passed since the Earth plunged into darkness, seven centuries since the Jettator swore to regain from man his lost knowledge and freedom, all the Immortals took the oath, all except one. Who dominates the world, but soon an Immortal will come to confront him, his name is Quentin MacLeod, he is the Highlander. This animated series followed the adventures of Quentin MacLeod, the Last of the MacLeods. Set in a post apocalyptic world almost barren of technology and civilization. The Jettator's or Immmortals oath was to lay down their swords and when Kortan decided not to swear the oath so began the wait for the Highlander.

Highlander speelt zich af in een post-apocalyptische toekomst, ongeveer 700 jaar na de inslag van een asteroïde. Alle onsterfelijken hebben gezworen dat ze hun kennis van de mensheid zouden behouden en zouden stoppen met vechten tegen elkaar. Kortan legde deze eed echter niet af en werd een tiran die de wereld regeerde. Maar tien of duizend jaar na deze gebeurtenis zal er een nieuwe Hooglander komen die tegen hem zal strijden in een duel: Quentin McLoud. Hij wordt getraind door zijn leraar Ramirez om Kortan te verslaan.

Dans un futur indéterminé, une grande catastrophe s'abat sur Terre... Le monde s'enfonce peu à peu dans le chaos.

Les derniers immortels décident alors de prêter serment : ils choisissent de renoncer aux combats et au Jeu pour mettre au profit de l'humanité leurs connaissances accumulées depuis des siècles.

Cependant un immortel refuse de prêter ce serment, il s'auto-proclame comme vainqueur du prix, il s'agit de Kortan.

Connor McLeod refuse de laisser Kortan vaincre. Il s'interpose et combat le tyran mais perd... À la suite de sa mort, l'un des jetators Mangus, promet qu'un jour, un immortel de la nouvelle génération, qui ne sera pas soumis au serment, viendra et libèrera l'humanité de Kortan... Cet immortel sera un MacLeod, le dernier fils du clan MacLeod...

Sept siècles plus tard, Kortan est devenu un tyran et a pris, peu à peu, le contrôle du monde grâce à son armée.

Dans ce monde, on retrouve Quentin Dundee, un jeune adolescent accompagné de sa jeune sœur Clyde. Un jour, un homme mystérieux montant un saurien à deux pattes lui pose une question : « Connais-tu ton nom ? ».

Lorsque les troupes de Kortan débarquent dans le village de Quentin, ce dernier est mortellement blessé par le bras armé de Kortan, Arac et découvre qu'il est immortel et que son vrai nom est Quentin Macleod du clan des Macleod. Les événements s'enchaînent alors, l'homme mystérieux n'est autre que Ramirez qui va guider Quentin pour que celui-ci accomplisse son destin.

Highlander spielt in einer postapokalyptischen Zukunft ca. 700 Jahre nach dem Einschlag eines Asteroiden. Alle Unsterblichen schworen, dass sie ihr Wissen der Menschheit bewahren und die Kämpfe gegeneinander einstellen. Jedoch Kortan leistete diesen Schwur nicht und wurde somit zum Tyrannen, der die Welt beherrschte. Doch zehn oder 1000 Jahre nach diesem Ereignis wird ein neuer Highlander kommen, der gegen ihn in einem Duell antreten wird: Quentin McLoud. Er wird von seinem Lehrmeister Ramirez ausgebildet um Kortan zu besiegen.
