I've watched at least the first episode or two of the new current season. (I also, the other week, watched some 2016 episodes, so now no longer remember what was from 2016 and what was from the new season.)
The new season has 2 episodes that aired so far. First ep Katie never stayed in rehab that girl wss fast gone I wouldn't be surprised if she passed away within a year. Very sad
I now remember the stories of both of the first two episodes, and that the second episode featured the woman who used to work for "Snoop Dog". She seems very likely to make it out successfully, though I agree with you, that the first episode's featured participant unfortunately doesn't seem like much of a candidate for a bright future - if any future (survival) at all.
I also really like seeing that. Great to see success follow-ups quite a while after a person's episode originally aired, particularly when multiple years have transpired in between.

Always a compelling series.

I love that they show follow up stories now too. It's nice to see the people that overcome their addictions.
