The animated series will premiere on Paramount+ on Thursday, 28 October 2021.
Premise
Earth Date: 2383. Five years have passed since the return of the USS Voyager to the Alpha Quadrant. There is, however, another Starfleet ship in the Delta Quadrant, the USS Protostar. It has been abandoned for unknown reasons and lies buried in the sand of an obscure planet’s surface.
A small group of young aliens - Rok-Tahk, Dal, Zero, Jankom Pog, Gwyn - and Murf, who are incarcerated on the planet, manage to escape and find the defunct starship.
They go into the ship, and of course the prison guards are coming after them, and they can’t get the ship up, and the shields won’t run. Then suddenly, somebody hits a button, and bloop!
"Hello kids, I see you’re a little bit stuck here. Can I help you out?"
It’s Captain Janeway, in a holographic form.
The teens commandeer the ship and it is the beginning of the most awesome adventure in their lives.
