Discuss! I do. When I first watched it at university in my late teens/ early 20s I thought Carrie was IT - stylish, interesting and the one to be like. However watching it now at 30 I realise that she is pretty much an idiot. She spends ALL of her money without second thoughts, has no savings, no back up plans and prioritizes men over pretty much everything and picks bad ones. The one time she gets a great guy she effs it up by cheating on him.

On the other hand Miranda is wonderful (but still with flaws). She is a career woman at the top of her game with plenty of savings, she is honest, gives tough love to her friends when she needs it and really progresses as a person throughout the series. She is wonderfully sarcastic and brilliantly grounded in reality.

I was always a Miranda, but I've appreciated how much more love Miranda has been getting as time passes since the show was on.

Miranda was always my favorite as well, but I see where you're coming from. I watched this show in my teens (I'm 32 now) and I always thought Carrie was so beautiful and I majorly envied her closet. I've had to take a week off to recover from a minor surgery last week and decided to rewatch beginning to end. I still love Miranda the most but now when I look at Carrie I think damn, all she really has are those great clothes and accessories.

With so much to choose from, how did she ever find the perfect combination of clothes to wear for each occasion high_heel

I was a Samantha girl all the way. I love how she did what the fuck she wanted and answered to no man. The other 3 started grating on nerves after a while.

now that I'm older I still like to watch Carrie (even if annoying) and her relatable mistakes. For fashion purposes also - I remember buying those long pearl necklaces haha!

Same, to idolise - Samantha too. She's the nicest, funniest, awesome job too. She's the only one willing to help Carrie remove the diaphragm haha!

That's how you know you got a true friend. LOL! I'm kinda the Samantha in my group of friends. I'm single & childless and I thought after high school we were gonna live it up like the gang but both my friends got pregnant on me and things changed. We rarely get together like we used to. Part of me is disappointed because we were still young and had a lot to experience and I thought they were smarter than that.

Yup, I can relate but not after high school lol, like early 20s, we always talked about having great jobs and great sex but same - babies. I know it's very cliche but it really changes and they cannot party as much. I do love their kids but usually we hangout at their place, drink wine cos I know more convenient for them too. Same when Miranda had the baby. It does give a different kind of fun and LOL for Samantha to use a vibrator to help the baby sleep joy

Hmm, funny. I was Team Miranda all the way but always thought Carrie the sum of the other three. She had some of the optimist/romantic and prudishness of Charlotte, but grounded somewhat with realism a la Miranda, but independent (wasn't about having babies) and fun that Samantha had.

Great point - I never considered this and I think you're right. She had a smidge of each of them.
