One of my favorite TV series of the late 1960's was It Takes A Thief, starring Robert Wagner and Malachi Thorne. Wagner played Alexander Mundy, master thief who gets paroled from prison to work for an American Intelligence Agency, the S.I.A. to steal various things for American interests. Thorne played his boss, Noah Bain.

A nice mixture of the Alfred Hitchcock movie To Catch A Thief and James Bond, there are some people who consider this show to be the inspiration for the USA Network series White Collar.
