Thiếu nữ bán yêu Higurashi Towa bị bắt và tra hỏi về việc phát hiện ra một số món đồ bí ẩn. Sau đó, cô nghe được một câu chuyện cổ về việc tiêu diệt yêu quái.

Mười năm sau khi xuyên không, Towa chuyển đến một trường cấp 2 mới. Ở nơi khác, diệt yêu sư Setsuna truy tìm thợ săn tiền thưởng Moroha.

Ở hiện tại, Towa rất vui khi được đoàn tụ với em gái nhưng Setsuna lại tuyên bố không hề biết cô. Trong quá khứ, Già Kaede tiết lộ dòng dõi yêu quái của Setsuna.

Towa quyết trở về thời Chiến Quốc và tìm cách giúp Setsuna có thể ngủ lại. Moroha chọc một cái rễ cây rắc rối để moi thông tin.

Setsuna và Towa đồng ý tiêu diệt một tên yêu quái chuyên lấy xương. Trong khi đó, Moroha miễn cưỡng lên đường tìm giết một yêu quái để trả nợ.

Khi điều tra những vụ trình báo lữ khách bị mất tích, Towa và hội bạn đồng hành gặp một cô bé và được cô đưa về làng của mình – nơi có rất nhiều mèo được cưng chiều.

Towa tự mình đến núi Musubi để tìm kiếm Mộng Hồ Điệp. Trên đường đi, cô tình cờ gặp một hải tặc đang tìm đường trở lại tàu của mình.

Ba cô gái đuổi kịp Yotsume và Moroha vây hãm hắn bằng một trận mưa tên. Nhưng rồi Yotsume đã dùng sức mạnh của mình để khiến cô, Towa và Takechiyo chìm vào giấc ngủ sâu.

Các chị em họ nhận nhiệm vụ có tiền thưởng: săn lùng con yêu quái đã phá hủy toàn bộ một thành trì. Trước khi đến được địa điểm, họ tình cờ gặp một tên tiểu yêu.

Cuộc ẩu đả của hai anh em yêu quái khiến những ngôi làng gần đó bị tàn phá. Khi nhóm của Moroha can thiệp, hai anh em họ để ý đến mắt của Towa và Setsuna.

Biết về yêu quái trong ao ăn thịt người, Setsuna và Towa tìm đến để tiêu diệt hắn. Trên đường đi, họ bắt gặp hai đứa trẻ sống gần đó.

Các chị em họ quyết tiêu diệt con yêu quái đã hút khô một ngọn núi và cây cối ở đó. Nhưng khi họ leo lên đỉnh, Setsuna cảm thấy Towa có gì đó không ổn.

Khi yêu quái hùng mạnh Totetsu đi khắp nơi ăn thịt các nhà sư và trụ trì chính trực, Kohaku nhờ các diệt yêu sư đến trông chừng cho một nhà sư không có chút đạo hạnh nào.

Moroha và các chị họ gặp một dân làng xinh đẹp. Cô gái này kể cho họ nghe về cuộc sống của cô trên núi với thần Homura độc ác và ghen tuông.

Sau khi Inuyasha nhận được một số kỷ vật, Riku xuất hiện trước mặt Kagome và thông báo cho cô về một tai họa sắp đến. Một yêu quái bí ẩn cảnh báo Sesshomaru.

Đối mặt với một người quen, Moroha nói cho các chị họ về hoàn cảnh khiến cô trải qua một thử thách khó khăn theo lệnh của sư phụ và nhận được thanh gươm của mình.

Khi Riku muốn dẫn Moroha đến gặp Totetsu, cô đề nghị các chị họ đi cùng. Nhưng các cô gái nào hay biết Konton đang giăng sẵn cái bẫy nguy hiểm chờ họ.

Trong khi Towa và Setsuna đương đầu với Konton và bọn yêu quái hắn triệu tập, Moroha đấu với Totetsu – kẻ giờ đã trở nên mạnh hơn khi nuốt Ngọc trai Bảy màu.

Con gái của Chúa công yêu cầu Hisui và các diệt yêu sư cạnh tranh trong một trận chiến với một số thợ săn tiền thưởng – trong đó có một gương mặt quen thuộc.

Setsuna nhớ lại hoàn cảnh đưa cô đến sống trong một ngôi làng khuất nẻo cùng các tiểu bán yêu khác, và cuối cùng giúp bảo vệ ngôi làng này trước bọn yêu quái xâm phạm.

Tạm thời không có sức mạnh yêu quái trong đêm trăng non, Towa đuổi theo Mộng Hồ Điệp vào Khu rừng của Thời Đại Thụ – nơi cô gặp Riku.

Tiểu thư Zero thỉnh cầu Miroku giải phong ấn của Setsuna – nhưng anh từ chối. Sau đó, cô tiếp cận Towa, quyết đánh bại các chị em bán yêu vì Kirinmaru.

Setsuna và Towa thuê Moroha giúp họ truy tìm và tiêu diệt Zero. Kirinmaru đến thăm một nữ yêu quái sống trong lâu đài trên mây.

Kirinmaru ngăn Sesshomaru tấn công Zero. Towa, Setsuna và Moroha theo dõi cảnh tượng diễn ra bên phía dưới trước khi giao chiến với Kirinmaru.

Having restored Setsuna to life and recovered from her exhaustion, Towa finds herself alone as Setsuna and Moroha begin searching for the mystical root needed to forge Towa a new sword.

Jaken recalls that fateful day fourteen years ago, when Zero placed a curse on Rin that would make her slowly rot away to an excruciating death. The three girls search for Bokusen-Oh, who may have a lead on the whereabouts of Towa’s new weapon.

The three girls arrive at Mount Musubi but are trapped by a powerful barrier. Moroha manages to escape and runs into something unexpected.

Rion used to travel the world with her father Kirinmaru, but one day, her soul was sealed deep within Mount Musubi. Longing for freedom and peace, Rion asks Setsuna to sever the thread of fate that connects her to her father.

Setsuna is kidnapped by Princess Aiya, daughter of the deputy shogun. Wanting to escape her studies, Princess Aiya begs Setsuna to be her body double for a day, but the princess’s new tutor turns out to be Hisui posing as his older sister Kin’u!

Revealing that he was once the young lord of the Mamidaira Clan, Takechiyo hires Moroha as a bodyguard to help him with the familial strife at his home. During training, Kohaku teaches Towa an important lesson about learning to run away.

Zero sets a trap in the garden of Nanahoshi, a demon who feeds on sadness. Kirinmaru pays Towa, Riku, and Rion a visit. Kohaku, Hisui, and Setsuna assist the chief of the demon slayers in the north.

Kohaku and the demon slayers struggle to put out the fires caused by the Flame Bulls. Mayonaka, who used to be a local deity, demands the people of Gokoku Village hand over the town’s divine object.

Moroha learns about her parents’ battle against Shogen Mamiana, the sealing of the Full Moon Raccoon Dog, and Takechiyo’s exile from his clan. Setsuna is attacked by the snow demon Yukinyudo. Zero targets Towa on the new moon.

Moroha and Takechiyo strike back against Shogen Mamiana. Setsuna experiences her first New Moon. Towa is trapped by Nanahoshi’s eternity bugs.

Zero unearths Towa’s sadness about growing up in the modern world and corners her with her memories of loneliness and suffering. Sesshomaru appears before the demon slayers and commands Setsuna to pay the Tree of Ages a visit.

Towa is consumed by rage and loneliness. Setsuna tries to stop her from killing Zero because the curse on their mother cannot be lifted unless Zero lets go of her regrets. Sesshomaru gives Moroha the Black Pearl.

Kirinmaru takes the Black Pearl from Moroha and demands that she bring Akuru to him. Towa and Setsuna try to lend a hand, but Sesshomaru arrives at the scene to take on Kirinmaru instead. Meanwhile, Rion and Riku head to Mount Musubi.

Inside the Black Pearl, Moroha is finally reunited with her parents, Inuyasha and Kagome. Inuyasha begins to see a way out of the Black Pearl. Meanwhile, Kirinmaru’s attack leaves Sesshomaru gravely injured.

Wanting to prove his strength, Kirinmaru faces off against Sesshomaru. Towa summons the Tenseiga. Shippo waits for Inuyasha and the others at Gozu and Mezu’s gate.

In the present day, Osamu Kirin sees the Grim Comet approaching. Meanwhile, in the feudal era, Towa’s life is in danger after she uses her Zanseiken. The Spirit of the Tree of Ages orders the half-demon princesses to go destroy the Grim Comet.

To destroy the Grim Comet, Towa, Moroha, and Setsuna must travel to the present day using the Windmill of Time, but Meidomaru stands in their way. Kirinmaru takes Rion and tries to travel across time by force.

Osamu Kirin has been quietly exterminating the demons that have been appearing in the present day. He asks Towa, Setsuna, and Moroha to slay demons at the concert that is happening.

Inuyasha and the others have their hands full with the evil spirits pouring out of the burning Windmill of Time. The three girls and Osamu Kirin try to stop the Grim Comet from falling to the earth.

Osamu Kirin brings the Grim Comet to the feudal era. He convinces Rion that they are both hoping for the same world and promises to make it a reality. Meanwhile, Towa, Setsuna, and Moroha are stuck in the present day.

Setsuna directs Towa and Moroha as they continue to sever Rion’s threads of fate. Each time a thread is severed, more of Rion’s true feelings are revealed. As Kirinmaru fights Sesshomaru, he realizes the real reason he lost Rion.

The feudal era is saved from the Degenerate Age. Inuyasha helps repay Moroha’s remaining debt. Towa and Setsuna receive kimonos from their mother, Rin. Towa, Setsuna, and Moroha accept a demon-slaying request from a mysterious man.
