Who has the authority to change this? I attempted to add the missing episodes, but the "add new episodes" button was missing.

I don't understand the issue, I find Skin Game here, and Space Race is here and here.

There are ten episodes in this season according to TMDB. There are actually 13. Not only are there three missing episodes, the episodes seem to have all shifted back by three. E04 name "the man from jupiter" is now listed as E01, and so on...Check out the correct season information on IMDB: https://www.imdb.com/title/tt1486217/episodes?season=3

Heart of Archness is in the specials.

Okay, but why though? I'm confused? According to every other source I've come across, these three episodes are listed as the first three in season 3? Currently TMDB's categorisation of these episodes is messing with the proper presentation of this season in apps I use which rely on TMDB for metadata.

The episodes should be in the specials because we follow the original release. According to the mod who did the research, they were not originally part of the third season: "FX aired it as a special (that is to say that at air time, the website was showing them as specials)."

Please note that we support alternative orders. There's an episode group with the revised seasons right here (it's also available via the API).

Heart of Archness isn't a special, its just a three part episode, as wikipedia says: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Archer_(season_3)
Hulu, which is official partner of FX Networks, has the correct order: https://www.hulu.com/series/archer-22b4b3c8-0827-42d2-a841-50e8f3464dc2

Even if it was a special, the story takes places in season 3, therefore there is no reason for separating it ftom the rest of the season.
The episode order on imdb and moviedb make no sense

What happened to this discussion? Season 3 is not correct and missing 3 episodes.

Have you READ the discussion? It was all explained.

guys, this is whole discussion completely stupid. who cares for the weird one-time-aired FX-Order ?? i can't even find that FX-order somewhere else!

what was explained ? nothing was explained ... still wrong order

IMDb: https://www.imdb.com/title/tt1486217/episodes?season=3 Amazon Prime: https://www.amazon.com/ARCHER-SEASON-3/dp/B005KO35Q2 GooglePlay: https://play.google.com/store/tv/show?id=seGvp80ysWo&cdid=tvseason-50DkcxNFyIg&hl=en&gl=US wikipedia: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Archer_(season_3) Netflix: same order

all with the same order

so every professional streaming service, every professional website -- the whole freaking Internet! has the same order -- but wait ! tvdb and tmdb admin-superbrains knows it better !! oh! okay! got it. everyone is wrong except a few tvdb/tmdb admins. now we only have to acknowledge netflix, imdb, google, wiki and amazon that they got it wrong - and as soon as every big player has changed their order, we are good to go. because THEY got it wrong! not 2-3 tvdb/tmdb admins ! lmao :D

otherwise we have the right tvdb/tmdb-admin order, which is obviously the only true order (* doing something weird with the right arm while having a weird voice *), but just not the same order everyone else following - of course, because they got it wrong. but still, a different order from tmdb-users.

i thought stuff like this won't happen with tmdb, just like it was with tvdb for years - 3 years of discussions about nonsense - resulting in wrong orders. good job. got it. admins=superbrains. billion-dollar-streaming-services=idiots. no other way possible.

Our rules are very explicit. I quote : "Episodes should be added exactly as they first aired on the original network (title, date, order, season). " The original order is FX, so we need to use the FX order for the main episode order.

If you want the order used by the other services, tou can use this episode group.

It seems that this will most likely get nowhere based on previous conversation above, but at the same time I am tired of the mods on this site thinking they know everything.

Is it at all possible that just maybe your staff got the number of episodes wrong and did not actually do the proper research? Seems likely.

Is it also possible that instead of listening to the community, who did a lot of research, that your staff just wanted to be right? Also seems likely.

Well, since your staff has not wanted to listen to reason before, I decided to give TMDB one more chance to fix their oversight.

I did a little more research for you. Lets see if the words of the FX Network President John Landgraf can sway your opinion.

Deadline.com Article from March 29, 2011 3:20pm

At FX’s upfront party in New York, which is going on right now, the network’s president John Landgraf announced a third-season renewal for Archer. The animated comedy has received a 16-episode order, with three episodes slated to run behind It’s Always Sunny In Philadelphia in the fall and the rest airing in early 2012.

Series creator Adam Reed later explained that due to a miscommunication he thought after the initial three episodes for the fall were done, he was only supposed to create 10 more. Hence, just 13 episodes actually aired.

Oh yeah, just for fun I also used the WaybackMachine to look at FX Networks schedule website for each of the three episodes in question. Each one showed being part of Season 3, back in 2011.

As visible on this archived page, season 3 has only 10 episodes.

And on this one, "Heart of Archness" is presented as a "Special Assignment".

On this September 16, 2011 article about the figures of the previous day, they are talking of "a special 3 week run of Archer".

Also on this January 20, 2012 article about the figures of the previous day, the episode broadcasted on January 19, 2012 is presented as the season premiere.

Good job superboy97. Thank you for proving my point on the fact you "can't" be wrong.

Per the rules you stated from your comment above:

You've shown me nothing that says FX themselves, at the time of airing, did not count these as Season 3.

As visible on this archived page, season 3 has only 10 episodes.

That link is from TWO years after Season 3 aired, so it's possible that the guy programming the website just screwed up. This seems even more likely seeing everyone else is finding it to be 13 Episodes, and even FX as of today shows Season 3 as having 13 Episodes. 🤔 Very interesting....

And on this one, "Heart of Archness" is presented as a "Special Assignment".

Yup. It's still technically referred to as a "Special Assignment" since it was a THREE PART episode that aired earlier than the rest of Season 3, as stated by the Network President.

On this September 16, 2011 article about the figures of the previous day, they are talking of "a special 3 week run of Archer".

This is not directly from FX, so really it makes no difference. However, seeing that this batch of three episodes DID technically run earlier then the rest of Season 3, it could still be classified as a "special run". Once again though, this does not mean they were not intended to be part of Season 3, as stated BY the Network President. 🤔

Also on this January 20, 2012 article about the figures of the previous day, the episode broadcasted on January 19, 2012 is presented as the season premiere.

Once again, this article is not directly from FX, so it does not support how FX intended them to air.

So basically you showed me nothing that states, AT AIR TIME, that these three episodes were listed as a special from FX. Instead, you give me two articles from random ranking sites that mean absolutely nothing. Whereas, I showed you an article, direct from the Network Presidents mouth, saying S3 was going to run THREE episodes in the fall and the other episodes at the normal airtime of January.

Per the rules page...

The most difficult part is finding a source with reliable data.

Found you a source direct from the Network Presidents mouth. Can't get much more reliable than that.

Also on the rules page...

Keep in mind that the actual airing order might be different from the order originally planned by the network.

As stated by the Network President, airing three episodes of Season 3 early WAS their plan from the beginning.

What they was intended to be is of no interest for us. The only interest is how they were effectively broadcasted.
