Hi I'm trying to add a backdrop to this page for the film Lavenza (https://letterboxd.com/film/lavenza/) did I do something wrong? I added an image and did a content request but it hasn't been added yet. any advice?

Letterboxd doesn't automatically update the images once a movie has been released.
You need to kindly ask the Letterboxd support team to do it.
