MAKE A FAN ART TAB!!!

the majority of the reason people still use this app is because of letterboxd. it’s a problem between this website and letterboxd that people are paying $50 a year to change posters when the majority of movies only have like 4 posters because of this website constantly deleting the rest. but if this website were to simply add a fan art tab and let us add fan art, then we could be happy with our letterboxd accounts looking exactly how we want. and as someone who’s making films, i’d love to be able to come on this website and look at the posters i created for my film, and then see posters other people have made for my film too! but it sucks that we can’t have our fan art on letterboxd. you guys should add fan art tab, or we’ll just start begging letterboxd to get their posters from a different website!

Hi @shilohrain, thanks for stopping by but at this time, we are not interested in maintaining or storing fan art. It will be deleted when found as it is against our contribution rules.

Letterboxd is already getting their posters from two different websites. If you want them add a new source for fan art, feel free to go bug them.
I am not exactly sure how Letterboxd adding the option for their Patron subscribers to select their preferred posters among the artwork that is available for each film got twisted, two years later, into a number of Patron subscribers thinking they are paying for and/or entitled to a different type of content (fan art). But Letterboxd makes it very clear in their FAQ that "TMDb accepts user submissions, but please follow the published guidelines when uploading images, as abuse of TMDb’s rules may lead to customization features being suspended on your Letterboxd account. Infringing content includes, but is not limited to, images containing: spoilers, inappropriate nudity, graphic violence, fan art and memes. "
