This new feature is promising but I've noticed a few possible issues.

What belongs in the original name field? The original language name or the English/romanized version? You're doing different things which is confusing:

I was making some edits until I was wondering that as well. What confuses me is that we have no original language attached to people, so should the Name field be the English one or the one in the local script? I've already asked about this internally so we'll see in the coming days how exactly it's supposed to be used :) Until then I won't make / lock any changes like this anymore.
@talestalker asked about this internally as well and whether we could include all the values from the translated name fields in the "Also Known As" section!

Okay, no probs. I was trying to update some profiles where I could but I'll leave these alone for now as well.

It looks like all the issues I mentioned have been fixed with the recent changes. The ability to select the primary translation is great and feels like the ideal way of handling name translations.
So, for complete (last and first) kanji names, I'll be adding them without any space to the stage name field (not copying this to the AKA list). Then I'll add the kanji with a space between the surname and given name to the AKA list (Edit: always)
only when a name is shown that way in a video's credits (usually when a full name has only 3 characters or has an unusual split). Though to be honest, I think a kanji name formatted with a space could be added to all profiles regardless of how they're shown in the credits. I mean, most 3-character full names can be easily read without any space, anyway.Réponse de Banana

In my opinion, it's good practice to add the name with a space as an AKA (even obvious ones). They are commonly used online so it just make things easier.
