Until a recent update, it was possible to hide other users' ratings and reviews using a content blocker such as uBlock Origin, allowing me not to be influenced by other users' ratings and reviews until I myself had seen the film.

However, since this update, it seems difficult if not impossible to hide ratings and reviews using a content blocker (it may be possible, but I can't manage it).

So I'd like to take this opportunity to propose a much simpler solution: not to hide other users' ratings and reviews for everyone and by default on the site, but simply to implement an option in the settings to enable/disable the hiding of users' ratings and reviews. It could simply look like this:

We could even imagine an option to hide these elements until the user has rated the film himself. We could also suggest hiding either ratings or comments, or both.

Because some people will claim that other users' ratings and reviews have no influence on their own judgement and appreciation of a film, I'm adding below a few links to studies that have scientifically demonstrated that other users' ratings and reviews not only influence your decision-making, but also alter your ability to enjoy the film and your own rating and review of it.

Once again, this is a simple option to implement, and will in no way impact the experience of users accustomed to being able to see other users' ratings and reviews, since these will remain visible by default, since the hide option will have to be activated in the settings, and will be reversible at any time.
