The Movie Database Support

I’m trying to add a trailer to Searching for Michael Peterson. Ive gone to YouTube and selected share, then embed, then copied the code but when I paste it into the add video/trailer section and click save it thinks for a moment and grays out the save button. It shows up as added but then there is no other save option, I leave the page, and when I return, no videos. What am I doing wrong?

Is this the movie?
https://www.themoviedb.org/movie/1184336-searching-for-michael-peterson
Is this the trailer?

Please post the copied the code here.

@noproblempablo The embed code is for a different purpose, like having the video be watchable directly from a different website. You need to copy and paste either the URL that appears on your browser's the address box or just video ID for the video you want to add (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=[video ID]) since the short link the "Share" button gives (https://youtu.be/[video ID]?si=[share tracking code]) doesn't work.

Thanks for the replies I was pasting the wrong code doing the share button. Its up and running now!

What about for Vimeo?

Any update on how to add a Vimeo video? I cannot find what is the key expected, and cannot find anything in the documentation

For Vimeo, just adding the regular link (the one you can see on your browser if you've opened the video in a separate window, same as for YouTube) works.

It's the same way to add a video from YouTube.
In the dropdown, choose between YouTube or Vimeo.

Add a Trailer to a Movie
Trailer in the language you are working on.
Perhaps this operation cannot be done using a mobile.

On a movie's homepage, in the top menu, click "Media" and "Videos".
At this point we have 2 possibilities.
1 The film does not yet have a trailer
2 The film already has a trailer

1 - If the movie does not have any "Videos":
Click "+ Add a Video".
Go to the Videos page.
1A - If you have the Video URL
Click on the new "+ Add a Video".

A new window will open with the title Edit.
There are 3 dropdowns in it. Site, Type, Quality.
Select the options for your video.
In Site, we have 2 options: YouTube or Vimeo.
In the 4th field, Source Key, paste the URL of your video.

1B - If you don't have the Video URL
Click on "Search YouTube",
Find and copy the URL of the video you want to add.
Follow the procedure explained above by clicking on the new "+ Add a Video".

2 - If the movie already has a "Videos".
The movie's "Videos" page will open.
In the left side menu, click on the " heavy_plus_sign " sign inside a circle (next to the word Videos)
A new window will open with the title Edit.
There are 3 dropdowns in it. Site, Type, Quality.
Select the options for your video.
In Site, we have 2 options: YouTube or Vimeo.
In the 4th field, Source Key, paste the URL of your video.

@ticao2 That is what I have done, but I get the following errors : "Key isn't valid" and "Key isn't valid on Vimeo". The link of the video is https://vimeo.com/1036090775/a620fce691, and the page of the movie is https://www.themoviedb.org/movie/1428108-in-the-shadows

Thanks :)

There is a problem with the Vimeo URL.
Usually the video ID is a single sequence of characters.
For example, this one I managed to add.
I think it is the same as yours. Please check.
https://vimeo.com/1041746231

Your URL is in a format I didn't recognize.
https://vimeo.com/1036090775/a620fce691
It has this second string a620fce691

Yes, this is the same video, I don't know why the link that I was given was different from the one you found. Thanks for the modification !
