TMDB keeps deleting emesis blue for some reason, my guess is that it doesn’t have a “normal” release, as it was uploaded to youtube for free rather than DVD or something else. Over the past months I’ve counted that the movie has gotten deleted over 4 times, probably more. Emesis Blue is a fully fleshed out horror movie, made with source filmmaker, and it doesn’t deserve to be constantly removed from TMDB and letterboxd just because of of it being "indie". (if that is even the reason it keeps getting deleted). here is the link to the movie: https://youtu.be/V0ODG8bFme0

It's literally in TMDB rules that films in their databases must have a film festival appearance, theatrical release, or a physical release. If they accepted YouTube content then they would have to accept someone's cat videos or tiktok content.

If that's the case, then why can I look up a bunch of short films that only released on YouTube and they get to have an entry, but not a feature length horror movie?

Because we don't have the time to check every entries at the time they are entered in the database. We only remove them when they are reported to us or when we see them.

Well, this is one entry that shouldn't be deleted. It's a movie.

It still doesn't fit guideline

the guideline should allow films like Emesis Blue to exist in their database. It's no different than a theatrically, streaming, or digitally released movie.

I love watching TMDB staff justify a stupid rule that hurts no-budget indie films. It's really funny.
