The Movie Database Support

When using the API call for upcoming movies I am getting a response with movies that have been already released. Even those that were released several months ago.

This API( https://developer.themoviedb.org/reference/movie-upcoming-list )The returned result (results. release_date) does not seem to be between (dates. maximum) and (dates. minimum), perhaps this is a bug?, Or is there a very serious data caching error?

I invite you to read this previous discussion.

Also, here is some more information on regions, release dates, and release types: https://developer.themoviedb.org/docs/region-support

The reason the returned result does not fit in the search window, I believe the returned result is the primary release date, that is, the one date that is associated with the original release of the movie (and the year that is usually associated with the title). However, the discover search actually uses "release_date" and not "primary_release_date" so it is searching for all types of release dates associated with the title.

For example, the movie "Sisu": https://www.themoviedb.org/movie/840326-sisu/releases

The original release date is 1/27/23 in Finland, but there are numerous other release dates in other countries, some of which fall in the search window.

You can try adding "region=US" or "region=YOUR_COUNTRY" to your query and this will probably give you closer to the results that you are looking for.

Adding the region to the query got the result I wanted. Thank you.
