In situations when the episode name has different spelling at the show's official website or schedule and on-screen in the episode itself, which name has precedence? E.g. https://www.themoviedb.org/tv/135934-the-legend-of-vox-machina/season/2/episode/10 says "The Kill Box" on-screen, or https://www.themoviedb.org/tv/105971-star-wars-the-bad-batch/season/2/episode/8 has on-screen title spelled as "Truth & Consequences"
The Contribution Bible is not clear about that (or I failed to find the answer).

I'm surprised no mod has answered your question yet. My instinct is to go w/the actual onscreen title if there is one. But maybe this site has a different, counterintuitive rule. It wouldn't be the first time.

My thoughts exactly, the on-screen title is kind of 'chiseled in stone'. But considering that often by the time of the broadcast the episode title is already locked, each change will have to be reported, so maybe the mods prefer not to add to their workload. They ignored the question for two months, so one can only guess...

Well, it usually takes a minimum of two months to get action/a response. So be patient.

I have been trying to get an episode title from a '90s PBS series corrected for months to match what is on screen. The ancient website for the show lists a different title which the TMDb mod I've been corresponding with seems to favor. Would love to see a rule on this.

Since no one bothered to give a straight answer, I'll answer myself. Judging from the recent responses of one of the mods in a few content reports, the on-screen title has precedence.

This apply for current series where the on-screen title can be seen online.
For oldest series, we favor the title advertised on the website at the time of the original broadcast. The title available on-screen on DVD or later streaming is not necessary the title that were originally used.

So basically, as long as the original release is available to check, the on-screen title has precedence. Otherwise, the official web page/archive is the next best thing. Makes sense.

My own opinion is that on screen title shouldn't take precedent over the official initial broadcasting site.
The on screen text could have gone through a final approval process just before broadcast but after editing of the digital / physical media. Also, hyphenated text could be problematic https://www.themoviedb.org/tv/103786-the-cuphead-show/discuss/646933d1c1606a0156d79ef5
Regardless, whatever the moderators decide as the final decision, it would be good to add a comment to the bible.
