Release Dates for TV?

How come there is a release dates option in the API for movies (so as to get the correct date for a user's country), but there isn't the same release dates option for television/television-episodes?
Would love if this support got added else I'll have to do some trickery where if the origin_country is somewhere on the other side of the world like Japan and they're a day ahead, offset the release date by one, but also check if the location is Netflix because they release at the same time... you get the idea, sounds very sloppy.
Is there a reason that release_dates hasn't been integrated into the television/television-episode sections already?

Hi @LuckDuracell, there are no current plans to bring multi network/country air dates to TV episodes. This would be a significant lift to the current system and there are lots of other higher priority items for us to get through at the moment. We do though, have this in our backlog which you can view here. You can vote/watch it for future updates.

Could you at least use zulu time for air dates? Then it would be correct is whatever time zone you are. People watch from all over the world and it's daft to have air notifications 24h after you have already watched it via official sources like amazon or crunchyroll.
This totally screws up notifications via the api because the dates are all wrong. Something has changed because the autumn season was fine and there are at least 4 anime wrong but locked wrong. One case a week out because they won't use amazon for dates. Hopefully that would be easier and more logical to implement.

As per our rules, the dates are recorded based on the origin country of the series. For a Japan anime, the listed date is the first TV broadcast date in Japan.
Changing the way the dates are recorded is not so simple as this will break all the applications that use them.
For information, there is a development in progress for the addition of the possibility to add an optional time to the release date.
