It is quite common to find the No Language section of Posters and Backdrops containing images with text. When I see this, I do try to move them, but many of these images are locked and can only be moved by a moderator. (See my reporting history)
Here is an example... https://www.themoviedb.org/movie/127585-x-men-days-of-future-past/images/posters?image_language=xx
I believe this is caused by the current design of the upload page.
Could the upload page be redesigned so that the image language is set at the time of upload, rather than after uploading?
This will solve the confusion of an inexperienced user wondering what happened to their images and where to find them.
Thanks

Hi, in general I agree it would be helpful to set the poster language early. In this case, however, the user who added the images did set them to Chinese (which I believe is correct) in 2020. Later on another user changed many of those back to No Language (which counts as sabotage). I'll fix the sabotage now.

Currently, by default, all images are added with no language.
But this new feature is already on our To-Do list.

There is no implementation deadline.

Thanks @lineker for the fix. I am manually replacing some of my older artwork in my Kodi library with some better/newer versions, and I am amazed at how common the problem is. Easily 4 out of 5 movies I visit have this issue. Most I fix myself, but sometimes the posters are locked and I can't move them. Why would they be locked into the wrong section?
Thanks @ticao2 . That's been on the books since 2019, I hope it gets escalated :-)

I would need some examples to know for sure. Poster language rules can be complicated in some cases, but backdrops should be more straight-forward.

There are 2 features in the plans, and maybe one depends on the other.
Maybe this is slowing down the work.
1 Choose language when uploading image
2 Add country in addition to language. Multiple languages with many countries.
I've been waiting a long time for this feature.
A Language with Multiple Countries
A possible solution is to change how this happens, adopting a resource of TAGs.
The same poster can be assigned to different countries and languages. Which is not possible today.
This should all impact all Scraper engines.
That is, you will have a little work. :-)

@lineker
I have come across an example of a locked fanart in the wrong location.
The image should be under English language instead of No Language. Its the last image in the listing.
