If I look at the front page there are many films I haven't seen, and don't want to see!
It's a slog to scroll past the junk to things that are interesting.
Is there a way to hide films and tv content I'm not interested in?
I do not think so.
TMDb doesn't know which movies you might find interesting.
Or the movies you consider junk.
What is possible is for you to add the movies that you think are interesting to your "watchlist".
I'm really interesting in a user content filtering option where you can filter or block anything you DON'T want to see. There is an automatic filter for adult content which is on by default. I just want a filter I can control. I wonder if there is an app or 3rd-party website with an option like that?

I don't know.
Considering this filtering feature that you want,
I think you will have to do a search in the Google and Apple APP stores.
As for websites, maybe Letterboxd has a similar feature.
Hi, I also was thinking about the same thing recently.
For example, when searching for all sci-fi movies I have not seen yet (going over something like 640 relevant titles), there are many that I don’t want to see and it can help to go over all the movies in the same search criteria in different time periods.
The same way I can filter out movies I’v seen by rating them I would like to filter out movies I will never want to see or that I already put in my watchlist.
What I did to overcome this was to rate all the movies I will never want to see with 1 star and movies I put in my watchlist with 2 stars, and a week or so after I went over all the search results I removed this rating. But this was only for movies on Apple TV and now I want to go over the whole DB but I don’t want to use this hack again and I want to do this in a slower pace.

@travisbell Can this be a feature request?
