A few weeks ago, I noticed my search results are no longer coming back in popularity order, like they had been. Was the fact that more popular results were coming back first just a coincidence, or was something changed?
Ideally, I would like search results ordered by popularity, as it is the expected behavior for the users of my application. Is there a way to do this? I didn't see anything in the docs.
Here's an example query:
https://api.themoviedb.org/3/search/movie?api_key=XXXX&language=en-US&page=1&include_adult=false&query=Fantasi

Hi @arustleund,
Search does not support sorting. Results are merely boosted by popularity, nothing more. Keep in mind, popularity is calculated daily so it changes over time.
P.S. there have been no changes to search on the API this year.

Thanks Travis, must have just been a coincidence then. Any plans to add sorting to the search? It would be much appreciated! :)

To my knowledge, there are no plans to add this feature.
You can monitor plans by searching the Trello To-Do List.
