I keep getting an error saying my upload failed when trying to upload posters. Is there an issue with the site, or is it at my end somehow? It was working fine all day, then suddenly threw an error. I was able to upload by moving the file to a different location, but that only worked once and now no matter what I do the upload fails.

just chiming in to say I'm experiencing this sitewide too. A few days ago I could just change the filename and it would successfully upload, but that doesn't work now.
They're probably understaffed on volunteers. A lot of my content issue reports aren't being acted upon.

Same issue here. Seems to work for bigger files (>1 MB) for like half an hour per day or so I usually try to upload all the files then. Also have a lot of reports that have not been handled.

Seems to have resolved itself in the last few hours. I managed to go past 1MB, and now I've uploaded all the ones from the past week or so I didn't get to post up.

...and now it isn't working again. Definitely an intermittent server issue.

Got an interesting symptom on My Fake Boyfriend: uploaded an image over 1MB fine, then it wouldn't take another. So maybe that's part of what's happening?

Can someone move this to Website Support?

Hey guys, this is a complex problem that has the mostly to do with some some recurring HTTP scraping events that we're currently fighting on a daily basis. I do not have an ETA to address this right now but just know that I am aware of it but also that it's not a simple fix.

Glad to hear you're aware of the issue, and wish you the best of luck with fixing it. If it is any consolation, I've been having better luck uploading over the last few days.

Still broken for me.

Yeah, still an on-off problem. I normally just keep a tab open and keep trying every so often. If I get a window where a 1MB+ file gets in, I try to push as many through as possible.

I can recommend https://compressor.io/ to significantly reduce file size without degrading the quality.

What is the difference between "lossy", "lossless" and "custom"?
I usually just save my image from anywhere from 85 to 65% using GIMP/GNU image manipulation, which usually turns out decent results when compressing an image file of 2.5mb to 1.5mb to something right below 1mb (like 995kb to 700kb).

On the website itself, https://compressor.io/, by pausing the mouse on the word, the explanation appears:
Lossy - Recommended for web purposes.
Lossless - Recommended for print and photography purposes.

Might be fixed - did a whole bunch of 1MB+ uploads this morning on The Bad Guys and Blowback, as well as overnight for the Monday new releases.
