The Movie Database Support

Hi all! I hope everyone is good and safe.

So i was wrapping my head around in the recent days why i was having hard time to log my shows in SeriesGuide on Android (which uses TMDB). I dig left and right and appears there are some differences in the meta data between the two systems.

I ll bring two examples :

One piece : https://trakt.tv/shows/one-piece is logging episodes differently from TMDB. In Trakt seasons are like 16x03 while the same same episode on TMDB is listed as 15x581 (https://www.themoviedb.org/tv/37854/season/15/episode/581)

Brooklyn Nine Nine : https://trakt.tv/shows/brooklyn-nine-nine/seasons/8/episodes/10 episode 8x10 is listed normally, but in TMDB is not even listed (https://www.themoviedb.org/tv/48891-brooklyn-nine-nine/season/8), so according to TMDB the season 8 ends with 9 episodes.

Is there anything can can be done to improve the experience or if there's a reason of these differences ? :)

EDIT : i clicked on TMDB from Trakt website for One Piece with this link (https://trakt.tv/shows/one-piece/seasons/16/episodes/4) but can't find the page

Thanks a lot for your support :)

Each site has its own set of rules. Here, the rules are to respect the original broadcast.

For "Brooklyn Nine-Nine", there are only 9 episodes in season 8 as you can see on the official NBC website. The explanation is available here.

For "One Piece", we respect the original broadcast of the series, which is the Japanese broadcast. This broadcast took place as one single big season with continuous episodes numbering. We currently have it split in multiple seasons for historical reasons, but this is temporary and a merge in one single season will happen in the future at a date not yet defined.

Note : Next time you want to report something about a series, please file a content report (Overview -> Report) on the corresponding series page.
