yes travis, or you can check all of our IPs, to ensure did we from russia or not, so many developers around the world get impact by this. and about the war, its only putin fault, not the russian civilian or the military, they dont have choice

IMHO, they do have a choice. If the Russian people get sufficiently fed up w/Putin, they and the oligarchs can get rid of him. Anyone doing business with or in Russia is fair game for sanctions. Those who can move their operations to servers outside Russia should do so. Those who can't will just have to put up with Putin until enough Russians get fed up with him to make a change.

You're taking this thread way OT now, and I won't be dragged into an endless discussion of international politics, etc. Life isn't always fair. But at least you're not being brutally slaughtered like thousands of innocent Ukrainians.

I am fed up with Putin, I have not voted for him for many years, I cannot move to another country, I am against the war in Ukraine, as well as against all the wars of Russia, the USA and other countries. But it so happened that I was born in Russia, I cannot resist the authorities, and more or less smart people cannot resist the authorities either. We are imprisoned for retelling the constitution of Russia, for reposting a message that is not pleasing to the state, they can be imprisoned for 10 years. How else to resist Putin? A smart person doesn't want to sit in jail for 10 years for writing on the Internet. In Europe and the United States, the law works well in you, but in our country, whoever gave the most money to the judge is right, and the state is always right. Excuse me, I am writing with a translator

@YouROK don't bother to argue with these narrow-minded people. You don't need to stoop to their level.

Guys same exact issue here that started around April 11th. Server located in the NL. So it seems TMDB (Amazon cloudflare) blocks people from the Netherlands as well now ? Can this be true ???

Impossible to send any support request as I'm getting an error when trying to send my message :(

TMDB does not block NL, I checked. But geoip databases are never accurate.

I tried to create a support ticket but it keeps ending up in an error. Who can I contact at TMDB in order to request to whitelist my IP address (located in the NL) ? Thanks !!!

@travisbell , can you please get back to me so I can proof that the IP range you blocked (thinking it is Russian) is clearly locted at Leaseweb NL ? I really need my ip to get whitelisted :(

Hi everyone, please see our official post about this here: https://blog.themoviedb.org/the-movie-database-suspends-access-from-russia-and-belarus-b6a1a96fb35b

I have a server in the netherlands. It seems like this geo block has affected whole blocks of leaseweb customers. I've spent the day setting up the openvpn client on my server all just so my connections to tmdb continue to work which I simply should not need to do.

Can we get some kind of official acknowledgement that this geoip block is affecting more than intended and specifically seems to be affecting servers located in the netherlands? As far as I can tell the geo location for my IP has always been the netherlands, maxmind shows the correct location, db-ip shows the correct location, ip location history services show the netherlands.

@travisbell as you can see, lots of leasewebNL users are having the same exact problem. Please do whitelist Leaseweb IP ranges. These have nothing to do with Russia.

This whole subnet : 5.79.84.XXX is impacted as far as I can see. Please, do something.

they use rubbish ip list.... and blocks non russians IP range as well... NL been blocked for me too.. had to move to france ip as romanian blocked, polish non working, german some works and some not.

TRAVIS SORT THIS OUT, USE A BETTER IP FILTER LIST. THE ONE YOU USE IS OUTDATED BY AGES!.

This is a feature CloudFront provides out of the box. I have created a support ticket with AWS for so they can investigate.

Update from AWS: I need the following two pieces of information from those of you who are affected:

Step #1: The IP address of the CloudFront DNS resolver used by the machine getting the 403. You can get this by running the following command on the affected machine:

dig resolver-identity.cloudfront.net

Note, this is probably not going to be your current computer or client--this needs to be the machine making the request (ie. your server).

dig resolver-identity.cloudfront.net

; <<>> DiG 9.10.6 <<>> resolver-identity.cloudfront.net
;; global options: +cmd
;; Got answer:
;; ->>HEADER<<- opcode: QUERY, status: NOERROR, id: 61944

;; QUESTION SECTION:

;; ANSWER SECTION:
resolver-identity.cloudfront.net. 60 IN A 136.144.54.117

;; WHEN: Tue Apr 19 14:49:16 MDT 2022
;; MSG SIZE rcvd: 109

Step #2: A CloudFront request ID of an example request that is blocked by CloudFront. Request IDs are the value of the x-amz-cf-id header.
