The Movie Database Support

Dear Developers,

I met and signed up for TMDB, after understanding it as a competitor of the "JustWatch" service. I realized then that TMDB is even better. Congratulations!

However, I would like to suggest that you developers include two more Brazilian "Streaming Services", which are highly desirable and important: "DirecTV Go" and "Pluto TV". Because here in Brazil these two services are extremely relevant, observing some factors for each of them:

DirecTV Go (Brazil):

  • Subscription service, started in 2019 here in Brazil, and owned by AT&T, one of the 5 largest companies in the field. Therefore, highly promising and solid in the market;
  • Contains 2 types of Streaming Services: "Live Streaming" and "On Demand";
  • The "Live Streaming" section contains dozens of the biggest and main Streaming Channels from USA and Europe, including all Open Channels (free) in Brazil;
  • The "On Demand" section contains a catalog with all the movies and series from the "live streaming" channels, stored and available to its subscribers (like me, for example);
  • The trend is for this Service to grow, flourish and definitively solidify in our Market.

Pluto TV (Brazil):

  • Totally free service (sponsored by several important companies), also started in 2019 in Brazil, with an Incredible and equally promising Potential;
  • I joined this service on the inauguration date and follow its effective growth in our Market: this service has evolved enormously and deserved all the credits, promising solidity and continuity, with a highly captive public;
  • Embraces a very diverse Audience, including investment in classic, unforgettable and consecrated films and series, pointing to a select and older Audience, with a very selective taste, for classical and cultural themes ("classics" and "cult");
  • It also offers services such as: Talk Shows, Reality Shows, serving a modern and equally captive audience;
  • I firmly believe that this service is futuristic and visionary, and will compete directly with the main free services (open TV) in Brazil, and may well surpass them in the next 2 years.

Well, with the above reasoning, I hope I have made clear the real importance of coming together and adding to TMDB's range of streaming services as soon as possible. There is still a third relevant factor: TMDB's most popular competitor service here in Brazil is JustWatch, as you may assume. And that service is truly far from meeting TMDB's potential. They don't even have a quality support service and FAQ. As they are older here in Brazil, they tend to lose market quickly, especially if TMDB accelerates and increases this distance in a timely manner.

And with these notes of mine, I hope to have collaborated with the growth of TMDB, a service that I started to admire and for which I started to root, of course.

I finally hope to have your attention, feedback and inclusion of the suggested services.

Thank you very much.

We are absolutely not a competitor of the "JustWatch" service. We are using their data to indicate where you can legally stream something.

If you want new "streaming services" to appear here, you will have to ask "JustWatch" to add them.
