Unfortunately episode number can only be consecutive, which means that if an episode if skipped in a order it won't conform to the source.
An excample is Darkwing Duck

There is a feature called episode-groups.

The problem is that there is no way to skip numbers.

Any updates? I took a screenshot so you can what I am talking about (episode 9 is missing):

But there is no way to show this in the numbering.
