Ahh, I get it.
These images usually belong to the companies that produced the film. In the case of profile, to the actors or the photographers.
So I believe that TMDb does not have the legal power to prohibit.
But as the source of the images is TMDb, then you should give that credit to TMDb.
I believe that if you make it clear and explain that it is you who are altering the images, I personally do not see a problem.
Interesting this case of yours.
