Hi! I use TMDb API in my project and suddenly API stops working. Chrome developer console shows just "ERR_CONNECTION_TIMED_OUT". This has been going on since yesterday. It is not my app error, because other github projects similar to my doesn't getting TMDb data too. You can see that behavior here: https://nk11dev-movies.herokuapp.com (when you first open data may be cached and all seems OK, but you can see API not fetching data if you try to change page and open the browser console and wait for 1-2 minutes).
As mentioned in that issue: https://www.themoviedb.org/talk/603668c62476f200402f73ca, I test my Example API Request in REST client and have error message "Error: Timeout was reached". I dont't think this is problem with my TMDb key, because, as I mentioned above similar TMDb sites from github can't fetch data too. Can you tell whats happen?
Please help!

@sunriser I suppose, for now we are have no doubt that the problem is in the IP blocking.
We gather some statistics information.
Have you any explanation of that behavior?
Edit:
Because this is how this should be in case of all ISP's blocking:

In my city there are 3 big ISPs and a few small ones.
There has already been a case of blockade by judicial decision that affected only the big ones.
And there were 1 or 2 cases that just changed the DNS server to OpenDNS or Google that solved the problem.
Blocking was done in the DNS service. :-)
How is the panorama in Moscow? Many ISPs?

@ticao2,
We have a solution with using a DNS from Cloudflare.
There was some mentions of this in this thread.
Of course, it works. In my OS I can change my DNS settings.
But what about users which use app from their own devices. I can't change ther DNS settings on their device.
Am I missed something?

I did not remember that changing DNS service everything works.
After all, there are already 108 comments and I am an old man with little memory.
What about ISPs? Are there many big ones?

1.This is a judicial problem.
2.Yes, We have many big and small ISPs in Moscow but every ISPs have many network admins.
And every admin can block or not block IP (not DNS) - from this different situations: Cities, ISPs...
I have ISPs(it's big):

If it's a legal problem then I don't see how Travis Bell can help.
He would have to hire a lawyer in Moscow to try to settle it in the judiciary.
Of course, only Travis Bell can clarify whether it is possible for TMDb to hire a lawyer to resolve this issue.
I never read here on the forum anything like this.

I believe this is a legal mistake regarding TMDb.

Has anyone found out what is the name of this Android APP causing the problem?
Can anyone post the link to the GooglePlay here?
EDIT
I just saw that the link is already here. Excuse me.

yes, «Free HD Movies 2019» - this APP. And the appeal to the copyright court was filed by "Warner Bros. Entertainment Inc."

What confused me was the fact that some ISPs are blocking and others are not.
Perhaps some ISP administrators obeyed and other administrators did not obey the order of the Judge.
Or the court order was given by the judge only to some ISPs and not others.
Only a Russian-speaking lawyer can find out what happened.
He needs to read the judge's decision.
Does anyone here in this conversation know a lawyer?
He can be a father or mother, an uncle or cousin, a brother or nephew, or even a neighbor.
Maybe tell him this story and see what he recommends.

Got the same problem as discussed here. Also in Russia. My "Video Station" app installed at Synology NAS uses api.themoviedb.org to download info about movies, and it stopped working several months ago. I read all this thread and followed smb's recommendation to modify the "etc/hosts" file. So I added line "99.84.214.124 api.themoviedb.org" to this file and now everything works fine. I picked up this IP-address (99.84.214.124) from the recommended link - https://dnschecker.org/country/ru/#A/api.themoviedb.org.
I used Putty to connect to Synology NAS with Admin account, then used "sudo -i" to elevate to root, then used "vi /etc/hosts" to open and edit the file. For this to work you should first enable two services in the "Terminal and SNMP" section of the DSM Control Panel: "Telnet" and "SSH".
PS: updating "Video Station" app to the latest version (as suggested above) didn't help. Besides, it seems that this update is about TVDB, not TMDB.
