The Movie Database Support

How to reproduce the bug:

  1. Open a season in a TV show like Game of Thrones (this is just for reference, the bug is present in every tv show as far as I can tell) https://www.themoviedb.org/tv/1399-game-of-thrones/season/1 It says that episode 1 premiered on April 17, 2011, which is in fact correct.

  2. If we go to edit and then episodes we land here: https://www.themoviedb.org/tv/1399-game-of-thrones/season/1/edit?active_nav_item=episodes

  3. We can see the air date is always one day behind for all episodes, including episode 1, which now has an air date of April 16, 2011.

Note: The bug is exclusive to this particular editing page and doesn't occur when editing a standalone episode.

For me, this editing page appears correct. I correctly see April 17, 2011 for the first episode.

After reading your reply, I went and I changed my timezone in the settings. I set it to Detroit and the "problem" was indeed gone. So this issue is timezone related. But, I still think of it as a bug and the biggest reason for this is that it's not universal.

Now, I'm not saying that it should be, I'm just saying that's the way it is. When I edit a series using this editing page and if my timezone is set to London (for example), I am unintentionally setting the wrong date. For me, the solution to this problem would be to have the same date everywhere regardless of the time zone.
