The Movie Database Support

I'm building a solution that needs to be able to match a movie/tv episode with TMDB data based off just the title, release/air date and a closeness match to the plot text, this is working great for movies, however, there is a lack of episodes in the search results, i may have missed something in the api docs, however i've looked several times now.

Is there a way to search by episode title without knowing the series or program it comes from, and if not why not? the only reason i could think of is that this to keep results cleaner because multiple shows may have similar titles suchas "pilot", though that could be mitigated by the results being under thier own endpoint?

Hi @VoidTyphoon,

Indeed, this is not possible at the moment. I've created a new ticket to think about this here.

Awesome, Cheers!! smile
