Shouldn't we consider this series as just an alternate version of the short movies that are all listed separately in the movies part ?

I do think the entry should be deleted. But not all the shorts were first released theatrically (according to Wikipedia).

The 62 Pink Panther shorts that aired as part of The Pink Panther Show (1969-1970) were all previously released theatrically.

The eight new segments that aired as part of The New Pink Panther Show were all released theatrically first:

And, finally, 32 original shorts aired on ABC as part of The All New Pink Panther Show. Most, if not all, the shorts were released on TV before being released theatrically. They were paired with original Crazylegs Crane segments. I definitely think we should keep the entry for The All New Pink Panther Show.

Then what should we do about this show.

We've removed many similar entries for theatrical films edited into cartoons series. And the series that I saw included segments from other shows:

• La panthère rose (1964) : another duplicate of the 124 original shorts

All the Pink Panther shows listed here in the "new entry" column are already in our database as separate shorts with a broadcast date identical to the one found in IMDB for their short entries (ranging from 1974 to 1977).

The only special cases are:

• Pink Campaign listed in IMDB with 2 release dates (1967 and 1975) but listed here with the 1975 date

• It's Pink But Is It Mink? listed as (1967) in IMDB but with a single airdate in 1975

IMDB lists also the series The Pink Panther and Friends without precise airdates (just years ranging from 1974 to 1976).

"The Pink Panther and Friends" is also listed on BCDB and on IAD, but they don't have more informations about the TV release dates.

Yeah, that's weird. I guess keeping the individual shorts is the best we can do for now.
