Having just uploaded a proper poster for the recently released official Star Wars short film Star Wars: Squadrons – Hunted a few hours ago, I am now a bit surprised to find that the film’s page apparently no longer exists. At the time of writing, the film still shows up in search, but leads to an error page.
The “page not found” page says to let you know on the forums, if one believes this to be an error - so that’s what I’m doing. (-:

It could be argued that it was promotional material for a game but the title says "Star Wars: Squadrons – “Hunted” CG Short". Emphasis on Short . ILM and Lucasfilm both worked on it as well.

Like @arcreactor says, this short should not be mistaken for being merely a trailer. It is a narrative (short) film set in the universe of the game - a category of film which already has ample precedence on TMDb: Red Dead Redemption: The Man from Blackwater, Diablo III: Wrath, Final Fantasy VII: Advent Children, etc.
So, again... The missing page for Star Wars: Squadrons – Hunted must be a mistake.

Starwars.com and EA sure thinks so.

According to this it is also canon(mentioned just below the video).

Promotional shorts - with no credits, or limited credits - released directly to YouTube, are generally not allowed.
Red Dead Redemption: The Man from Blackwater was released as a TV special in the US (from what I could find). That means it's an exception.
Final Fantasy VII: Advent Children was properly released in many parts of the world and not really comparable to the movie deleted here.
Diablo III: Wrath was deleted now by me. It's not uncommon for some incorrect entries, added before most current mods arrived, to be left in the database.

I see, that makes sense. What if it was marked as a video would this count?

Content allowed in the Movie section (only if marked as video):
Official movies made of video game cutscenes (no fan edits)

No, the problem here is still the promotional aspect. But it's an interesting case where exceptions from different set of rules could come into play, should they have released it in - say - December and without mentioning the game at the end of the film.

Like the Star Wars The Old Republic trailers! I understand now.
They should have, and made it a feature length. Would have been some of the best star wars in quite a while. But that is a discussion for another time.
BTW you should watch it if you haven't already it is pretty good.
