Hi!
I'm having issues editing the episodes details of a series. I first noticed this issue with S01E01 here: https://www.themoviedb.org/tv/75865/season/1/episode/1
Whenever I set the title and summary for an episode in Spanish (leaving the existing airdate unchanged), the airdate for this episode gets modified to the day before the existing value after submitting the form. For instance, if I set the title and summary of the episode, and the airdate for the episode is January 8th, 2018, when I click the "Save" button then the airdate changes to January 7th, 2018 after submitting the form. This weird behaivour repeats whenever I make a new edit of the episode details (leaving the airdate unchanged) – when I click the "Save" button the airdate value changes again to the preceding date, in this second case from January 7th to January 6th, 2018 – and so on with further edits (from 6th to 5th, from 5th to 4th, etc.).
After having noticed this unexpected behaviour, I tried to revert the airdate to its former value entering January 8th, 2020, but it doesn't work as it gets the wrong value of Jaunary 7th, 2019. It seems the airdate value always takes the preceding date to the value in the field. I have tried entering the airdate value both manually and using the datetime picker control, but it doesn't work, it always takes the preceding date to the value I enter in the field.
The series I'm having issues with is (season 1): https://www.themoviedb.org/tv/75865/season/1
I have checked other series I edited, and I have found the same issue in the episode 2 of this series: https://www.themoviedb.org/tv/96316
Checking other edit changes for these series, it seems the issue sometimes happens with other people making edits too, but not always.
I could try to enter as airdate the following date to the one I actually intend, but I prefer to notify this issue before making further edits in case I'm doing something wrong or there's a bug related to date formats.

Hi @Hebotsuki,
This is a silly bug that has popped up on and off for a few years. It's been very difficult to reproduce consistently which is why it eludes to this day. As it so happens though, I've been re-factoring a bunch of things around how TMDb detects timezones (which I believe is where this bug is originating) so I'll see if I can squash it this time around. I haven't looked at it for probably ~2 years, so maybe enough has been changed since that I can properly fix it.
I'll let you know once I have pushed something to test.

I don't know if it is related to the reported bug, but I'm currently experiencing a different issue in fr-CA: the TV air date predictor thingy has been off by a day all night.

I succeeded now in set the correct air dates for the season 1 of Karakai Jouzu no Takagi-san. I don't know if a fix has been pushed in the code or just luck. Just in case it's useful, there were Chinese edits that didn't change the air dates.

Hey @Hebotsuki,
I just commited one more tweak just now to how timezones are detected that I am hoping should help. You'll notice now, in your account's settings page, there's a new checkmark to autodetect your timezone. It is definitely advisable to keep this checked, which is the new default option for everyone.
@banana_girl Are you still seeing the air date selector off by a day?

Profile page of the Czech actor Emanuel Brožík shows correct birthday on 1887-08-10, but on the edit page incorrect date 1887-08-09 is shown.

It's showing the correct
1887-08-10
on the edit page for me. Can you tell me a) the timezone that is detected, and b) if the "local time" is correct for you?https://www.themoviedb.org/session
P.S. updated the link above.

Both timezone (Europe/Prague) and local time (17:30) are correct.

And here is the edit page and session info from my test account with all locale set to en-EU and using Edge instead of Chrome (my default browser).

I made a test person and the problem occurs only when I set birthdate or deathdate to 1891-10-01 or earlier (down to 1600-01-01).

I've also discovered that on 1891-10-01 there was time correction (~+2 to -16 minutes) in AustriaHungary and Central European Time was established.
But now I really need to go! Thanks.

Well, that sure sounds like it's related. It's probably not a coincidence that it's the same date we're seeing the issue. I know Brazil has also had some time corrections (maybe only to do with DST?) but still, has caused some grief. For something so universal, time sure is hard to keep track of!
So, back to this issue. I am not sure where the problem is. Let me see if I can figure out which component is introducing the wrong offset.

I'm not sure this is relevant but, for the record, I'm also seeing 1887-08-09 and my timezone (America/Toronto) and local time are both fine.
